A huge softie. Jamie loves his friends and family with all of his heart. And it's a very big heart. An only child, but comes from a large family of many uncles, aunts, and cousins. He also had four sets of grandparents to spoil him throughout his life and teach him many tricks, so he kind of has an old soul.
His mother and father bought a farm when they first got married in the '80s when they were both just in their early twenties, with the help of his semi-wealthy grandparents.
He lost his birth father when he was just three years old. His mother later remarried when he was ten. He loves his stepdad and considers him his own father since he never knew his biological father.
Jamie didn't have that many friends growing up, due to the fact he was terribly shy and soft-spoken. He did, however, make a friend as a child, who is still one of the closest friends he's ever had.
When he was about six or seven years old, Jamie met an older girl who had been watching their mutual younger neighbor at the park.
Later, in his last year of high school during the summer, a new boy moved to his small community. His parents were slightly judgemental about the boy, due to how many piercings he had, but otherwise didn't comment about him until later. They caught the boy out in their yard tending to their plants and demanded to know his name. Jamie found out at that moment that the boys' name was Angelo. Jamie's parents kept a suspicious eye on the new neighbor after that.
School started up later and Jamie found out that not only was Angelo in his grade, he was also in his homeroom. He found out throughout the school year how smart and thoughtful Angelo was, even if he had a short temper. They shared homeroom together and English class in the afternoon. He slowly started to listen more to Angelos' answers in English class, realizing that he had more to him than his edgy looks.
Their friendship really started when Angelo walked up to him one day and commented on the book Jamie had been reading in the lunchroom as he snacked on his home-cooked meal. To Jamie's surprise, Angelo sat down next to him and pulled out his own book as he picked at the food on his tray. He even had made a comment that they could be reading buddies. Ever since then Angelo sat with him every day during lunchtime.
