Meurvis is like a father to Manuk. Since he was her guardian and protector during the entirety of her captivity, the two share a very deep and familiar bond. Meurvis also carries Manuk around, since she has still troubles properly walking on her own as a result of her confinement.

The two of them are technically territorial rivals, but Meurvis doesn't really care about it all that much. Yet, he accepts (and wins) every challenge Varus utters. Most times, a short fight to humor him is a lot less troublesome for Meurvis than having to deal with Varus' derision.
