Harrow

Powers:

- Like all denizens, he has two forms: humanoid and bestial. Most denizens prefer to be in their bestial form, but other species find them unnerving. They tend to shapeshift to blend in and be more approachable to outsiders.

-Denizens' true forms have velvety flesh that hangs in many layers of thick hide. The deep folds of their neck and tail can expand in a threat display. They are fearsome fighters known for their flexible spines and powerful, crushing jaws.

-Also a racial talent, Harrow is able to use shadows to be practically invisible. It is less true invisibility and more cloaking of senses. Some creatures/technology can negate the power. A strong light source ruins the illusion as well.

Essentials:

-Grew up like many denizens, scraping together a living with a tiny colony of his kind on a barren moon.

-They are outcasts, considered too "inhuman" to be around any other species. Exceptions include those wanting to hire spies, mercenaries or perhaps deal in black market goods.

-Harrow was recruited alongside mass quantities of other denizens as an adolescent, helping to build a massive spacestation (called Prelude) to shelter all denizenkind.

-At the center of the project was a visionary queen named Needle, who claimed to have heard the voice of their banished goddess, Caligna.

-Harrow fell from favor after the station was completed and cast out to do dirty work for the family, right around the same time that he lost his eye.

-He badmouths Prelude constantly, but it's still his home and  he doesn't trust much of anyone who isn't a denizen.

Needle:

His queen. He used to believe in her with all his heart, but things have changed. Harrow still feels a complicated sense of loyalty to her as queen, though Needle has hurt him personally in the past.
