Personality:  Soften is cheerful and upbeat, usually full of energy and always seeking out adventure. He often annoys the people around him, but doesn't usually realize this. He considers himself a hero and tries to be heroic, but sometimes mistakenly believes people are evil without ever realizing they aren't. He isn't very bright.

Home: Hairworld

History: Soften, like other Soft Creatures, is originally from the planet Sofbun (sometimes spelled Softbun). However, one day a mysterious shadowy figure referred to as ????? destroyed Sofbun when Soften was young. Soften, Shelly, Sully, Sharpen, Harden, and Shelly's guards are the only known residents of the planet to have escaped, and all of them now live on the strange carrot-shaped planet known as Hairworld. Despite that origin story, this is a gag series so serious storylines are rare to almost nonexistent.

Current-Bio: Soften currently lives on planet Hairworld with the other characters. He can usually be seen taking place in nonsense either in town or in a random grass field. Sometimes he attempts to get Shelly to notice him, but never seems to catch on that she doesn't return his feelings. He is also a fan of the video games Softamon and Hearfy (Pokemon and Starfy respectively). Sometimes Soften takes on the persona of Super Soften and wears a cape and gets the ability to fly. He also sometimes is Sofkun, a spiky-haired hero in a fantasy world who's really bad at being a hero.

Meta-History: Soften was the product of 10-11 year old me loving the YouTuve video Pokemon Spoof www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaVklX… I loved this video so much that I wanted to make something similar but with Kirby. Thus, Soften was created and named after the item Mr. Softener from Paper Mario and the Thousand-Year Door. Using an art program called Disney Magic Artist Studio, I drew and made slideshows that I used as stories and I would voice all the characters while my brother and or friends watched. The stories were mostly just Kirby parodies with other knockoff Kirby characters, but a few of my later  ones slowly took on original stories. Unfortunately, my computer ended up dying and I lost all of my original Soften stories (and my original Spore data ;_; The worst part is that now I know how to back data up. If only I could go back in time). Despite this, I continued making Soften stories on paper, on the video game  Spore, and eventually posted them to Deviantart. A lot of the original Kirby-parody characters have been retired but newer characters have emerged over the years. I've mostly moved away from doing Kirby parodies with Soften, but the obvious fact remains that he looks just like  Kirby. I don't want to redesign him though, I mean he's been like this for like 10 years! So yeah I know Soften looks like Kirby so you don't need to tell me okay

Relationships with Other Characters:

Rebble:  Soften considers Rebble to be his best friend, but Rebble doesn't necessarily agree, but still hangs out with Soften. Soften usually calls Rebble "Rebb".

Shelly: Soften has a crush on Shelly and seems to think she likes him back (the answer to that is a bit complicated). Otherwise he also considers her to be a friend despite the fact that Shelly is known to use her fists of fury when she's fed up with Soften's stupidity.

Kitten: Soften and Kitten are friends and don't seem to bother each other at all.

Sully: Soften doesn't seem to know who Sully is and confuses her for Shelly.

Stickman: Soften considers Stickman to be a friend, but is known to get annoyed by him from time to time.

Harden: Harden is Soften's rival, and the two are very competitive. Occasionally they're also straight-up enemies.

Rablue: As with Harden, Soften considers Rablue to be an enemy.

Sharpen:  Sharpen is Soften's cousin, and they generally get along. Soften is oblivious to Sharpen's mindless rants about the color blue and thinks it's some kind of comedy routine.

Alien Jim: Soften doesn't like Alien Jim after the events of Alien Jim's introduction arc. Alien Jim also thinks that "Ding" is common slang on Hairworld and says it a lot, much to Soften's chagrin.
