squidlykitten Thank you, I'm glad!! I looove messing around with videogame settings and the nature of videogames, even if I don't always like to make them exactly self-aware. I also elaborated a little bit on your question above, but for further context, the Security Is In Place character that Player is scared of, Valentine, is both the antagonist to the character they're most connected to, and also just generally off-putting and a stalker, which manages to skeeve them out.
So, aliens are not usually my thing, but I do like Kajj's design quite a lot! The color palette fits itself really well, and his outfit manages to give off the right vibe without being too simplified.
It's interesting how he doesn't trust the political figures around him, and very realistic, plus the way Mother's death has affected him and his wish to find the Daughter to ensure there's still a future for his people gives off an almost melancholic feeling. Also I think he's in general portrayed in a quite grounded way, with him becoming less brash and more reserved due to age and tragedy, but that brashness still existing in strong emotional reactions due to him trying to bottle everything up, I think I haven't seen a lot of characters who are depicted in such a nuanced way, it's usually either one or the other or going from one side to the other.
Also, I just think it's really fun how you took the time to elaborate on his likes and dislikes, a lot of codes don't allow for that but it's a really fun insight to his character to see why he likes or doesn't like something. Same for elaborating on his tokens! Just a really neat look into his life and his inner world, I think.
He also seems like he'd be quite well-balanced in combat, which isn't a small feat when trying to write characters who are supposed to be strong sometimes. Like, he seems like he'd be a tough foe, but not an OP one. I especially like the war song detail, that's genuinely such a cool use of a feature on an alien race and the typical war cry or war horn.
My attention span hasn't been great these past few days (Also why it took me a while to get to you both), but I may come back to read his profile more in-depth sometime. I can tell you put a lot of work into him!
