Ahhh I'm not sure if this has been done before but I thought this might be a nice idea for a thread, so here goes!

Get an awesome commission lately and want to let everyone know about how great the artist is?

Have a favorite artist you want to signal boost?

Want to find new artists to commission?

Seeking a specific type of comm and don't know who to turn to? (desperately clawing around for pixel comms or smut like me???)

then this is the thread for you. B^) I'll start off by listing my very long and very thorough recommendations, so gomen for the long first post! but I have many feelings about many artists.

Overall, I recommend Jo for pretty much everything ever. If you want some gorgeous art or amazingly detailed and unique designs, she's got your back. Everything she draws is gorgeous, from her sketches to her chibis to her fully rendered paintings... she's hands down one of my top 5 artists ever. Working with Jo is always really easy, quick, and professional -- she does her best to make sure you get exactly what you want, she's fast, she's efficient, and she sends AMAZINGLY DETAILED mockups for customs!! If you ever get a custom from her you know you're going to get *exactly* what you want because she sends you multiple mockups to make sure it's perfect for you.

Seriously, if you save up your piggy bank money for any artist, let it be Jo. She's worth it in every way. and her backwash is delicious

Next is my dear friend tokkinim who is just recently getting back into the commission scene! Brad is another one of those artists I recommend for ANYTHING. Right now he's focusing on doing adopts and YCHs, but he's seriously good at just about everything -- sketches, chibis, ref sheets, portraits, detailed backgrounds, you name it! He's really working to make a name for himself on FA and build up a good customer base after moving away from content he doesn't enjoy doing, so keep an eye out and you'll be bound to get some really nice art from him. B) He's amazingly good at furries, humans, monsters, ferals, etc!! so there's something for everyone!

Every time I've worked with Brad has been a pleasure; he has an amazingly creative mind and is capable of bringing any idea you have to life. He's professional and extremely kind, to boot!

Aimee does gorgeous designs in the form of appositi, but her commissions are out of this world too. She has such a unique style that's really hard to beat -- and she's always really nice to work with! She's trustworthy and does her best to make sure the commissions and designs she provides are the best she can produce. I definitely recommend her, especially for her gorgeous and adorable and amazing sketchpage comms. B)

She doesn't do comms as often, but when she does, they're so worth it. Her style is SO unique and adorable, and she draws ladies like nothing else!! If you want some mega cute babes, definitely check her out. and then check her art out too. HEHEHEHEHEHHH

Ree is AMAZINGLY talented and has such a unique fluid style that is unbelievably sexy and amazing in every piece she does. She's SOOOOO versatile and can do a variety of subjects and body types in an amazingly gorgeous way!! I cannot recommend Ree enough. Every time I've worked with her has been totally professional, fast, efficient, and STUNNING. Definitely give her a shot if you want an amazingly gorgeous comm that you will drool buckets over for the rest of your mortal life.

Lysandre is an absolute JOY to work with and has some amazing art chops! He does amazing designs that are just to die for, and every adopt back is an internal struggle between me and my wallet :") you should definitely give him a look -- he's great to work with whether you want a custom adopt or a commission!

Sil does GORGEOUS designs, lovely art, and DELICIOUS DELICIOUS SMUT. The whole package. He's really a huge sweetheart who doesn't believe how good he is at art, and I recommend him so much!! GET THAT DELICIOUS SMUT. actually don't, because I want. it. ALL.

The lovelies above are definitely some of my top recommendations that I could go on about forever and in excruciating detail, but there are a bunch of other artists I would recommend with all my heart. If I have time, I can write up more detailed recommendations about these artists, too!

HERE Their art is gorgeous and don't get me started on the traditionals which you likely won't see unfortunately, BUT HEY go give them some love, they really deserve it, and hey you never know, they may set up commissions.

THEN there's my friend Seke, she has a really nice style as well, and also have been thinking of doing commissions sometime, though she does take requests from time to time,

As for reccomendations on artists to commission, I haven't commissioned many BUT I would highly suggest the holy trinity of Larkles/Mintlark, Supersilvane/Sickingstar, and Fiinchmilk. I have commissioned all 3 of them and THEY ARE ABSOLUTE AWESOME.

So now I'd like to give back a bit and recommend some artists I have worked with!
I haven't commissioned too many people, tbh, so my list is unfortunately a bit short.

But a few artists I have worked with multiple times and would like to recommend include;

pupples - their chibis are sooooooo cute (which I have like 480384032 of), and always keep a consistent quality! Puppy's turn-around time is wonderful, too. Definitely would recommend for ppl looking for quality and fast art! ;V;/

KingMiyo - aGAIN ANOther wonderful chibi artist -- altho he does much more than chibis! I've never purchased them myself, but have seen a lot of wonderful sketches, ref sheet, and painted stuff. Miyo is very ontop of his workload and has a very reasonable turn-around time as well.

@endslamp - mMM I HAVE four commissions from them, and they're seriously some of the top tier favorite art I've ever purchased. Such a wonderful, unique style. Very friendly and kind to work with. I keep my fingers crossed every day that I'll catch another commission opening FFFF

And a few artists who I've only worked with once so far, but who were wonderful to work with the one time I did and who I hope to commission again in the future;
cado - very dynamic, expressive style. Idk, it's rare to find an artist whose stuff feels so natural and loose, and Cado's art definitely has it! (Actually think I received art from them in a trade, bUT STILL, I would totally love to commission them in the future FFF)
glitter - suCH A GOOD STYLE, I've only been so lucky to catch one comm, and did a trade with once, but both times were great experiences. (very, very quick!)
erebun - only commissioned them once so far very recently, but were super fast and the artwork turned out aMAZING AAA (oh, and has awesome design work, too!) -- as an aside, Erebun is a wonderful person to work with as a customer, as well.
@faluu - another woNDERFUL PERSON OH MAN, has absolutely stunning artwork aND designs. Very friendly and easy to approach.

Al right, here are some of my favourite artists.

First of all, Lehanan. She is just so fucking amazing. She have been my favourite drawing artist overall for years, I am just totally fanboying over her. I am not even into yaoi at all (she draws male sex a lot) but I am still totally in love with her (non-yaoi) drawings. She does not often opens commissions, but when she does, it totally worth it, her art is so underpriced! I swear, someday I will have some pieces from her ♥ whatever the price I have to pay, if there is only one artist on earth I should commission, it is totally her.
She draws humans only, in a realistic style.

Second, "la vie d'un poisson". She is a friend of mine, I knew her from years and I've seen her profression year after year, and it it just so amazing... The first drawings she did for me were just the usual drawings a kid would do at school when they're bored, but now she is just...wow! Serisously, her art is awesome, and she is really cheap as well, you should totally check her. Her page is not in English but if you ever send her a message about her art, she will ask me to translate anyway :p she already worked with English speaking people then feel free to message her.
She mostly does humans, anthros and furries in an anime style. She draws ferrals as well but they are not her best.

Another artist I love : Wolfiesprite. She does not draw humanoids but she is really, really good with anthros, furries, ferals and character designs. She has some original species I really love (Torikkus and StormProwler). She sells on several sim-games for sim-money, then you may even get some art from her without spending real money.

Robrabb does humans and mostly animals, but I am not sure if he is selling much, as he actually does not draw much... But if you are looking for feral art, you should totally drop him a message! His art is soo cute!!

If you are looking for cute and cheap icons of feral animals (or Pokemons :p) I would recommand Wagstail and Danighost.
I fot tons of Pokemon icons from them for my Pokemon trainer characters :3 Of course they don't only do icons, you can ask for fullbodies as well.

You want adorable and expressive art of feral animals? Go for ZephyrDarkSnake! Her art truly is adorable! (just don't ask her for humans, she does not want to draw them anymore)

mimi: dA / comm info she's a friend, a literal angel with the cutest anime style ;u; her cheebs are so precious and affordable and she does really pretty bust shots! she puts so much detail in her work and does really lovely designs too

sireinita: dA / comm info i just find her style so lovely, she does super nice chibis and draws such pretty girls ;u;

amy: tumblr / comms amy does really nice lineless stuff and chibis too, and is great at fantasy characters ;u; she does nice character designs too and is also just a general little peach

also happipo which i think a lot of ppl already know from her adorable icon comms but i've ordered a million chibis from her and would order a million more because everything she does is literally perfect? she puts such personality in her work

Lady-Bullfinch does really nice chibis and has a really quick turn around time! i really really appreciate artists that do nice work in a timely manner

Pepperly did this piece, her scenes are such a good deal and so lovely!! it's so nice to see art that isn't just character floating around in space!
