"Find me where the wild things are"

A flower growing admist the bricks that pave your rodes. Out of place, yet beautiful, and resilient. Crushed, run over, or removed. Another always seems to pop up. Change is imminent. No matter how hard you try to resist, it will always find the cracks and bloom as nature does.

Mood Board

A wayfarer from distant lands plagued by the same uncertainty. All she seeks is answers.

Personality

● Determined ● Patient ● Cold ● Obsessive ● Organized ● Empathic ●

Eopei is a solitary creature driven by her passion for study. The zebra's life has developed her mental state into an obsessive workspace that is defined by a goal of total resolution. A resolution that is likely unachievable in her lifetime but does not break the determination that fuels her. Due to this occupied thought process, E comes off as stoic, unbothered, and rather meticulously cold. Yet it is her care for others that ultimately finds her on this path and each step of progress fills her heart with hope for a better, more educated, life for them. It is also acknowledged that these traits will cause her downfall as she toys and reaches for those likely long gone by corruption.

History

Origins

Eopei was born to two mundane parents in the heart of Sargan. A vast savanna at the heart of Ritha with thriving villages that bordered the small plains kingdom, Rovalos. Her village was small, quiet, and not known for producing those of magic prowess. Most of the residents hadn't ever met a mage, let alone experienced their power. If you had asked anyone, especially the Lord, they felt blessed of their absence. No mages meant less dramatics and no chance of corruption that ended with a monstrosity.

The foal was raised in blissful ignorance of these social complexities for most of her early adolescence. Yet, children do as they are meant to. Change. A horn began to develop between her eyes. A small gold lump that painfully protruded from under reddish fur. Her tail had also begun to extend abnormally longer than any other zebra she had seen. Eopei was perturbed but her parents' whispers concerned her far worse than her appearance. It would be the first time she had ever heard the word, "mage". That's what they had called her and from that moment, it was all she would ever be.

The Ministry

It wasn't long before they came for her. A large waterbull and lanky gazelle with an expression devoid of emotion. A moment she could never erase from her memory. The last day she ever saw her parents. It ended with an escort of stark silence through a crowd of scrutinizingly raucous gazes. Each foot step took her further away from her home but at least stilled the beat of her wavering heart. Eventually she arrived at the very walls that she could see silhouetted on the horizon from her parent's cottage. They told her of the Ministry. A deviation of Ivras's order, left behind from their inquisition, but still managed and occupied. A place of learning and one the gazelle described as a safe home for their kind. She found all of this to be a lie. As her magic grew, of course they taught her. Not just of the basics but of the world, and its monsters. How friends could turn and become the very enemy they hunted. The paths in which any young mage could walk. For academia or for war.

Deviation

Eopei went along with the studies of her occupation, finding a liking and calling in Enchantments. Her signature ability being what she described, or called, Entrapment. The ways in which she could ensnare an individual, or a creature, by pure spell or the imbuing of an item fascinated her. For a dark moment in her life, the zebra felt powerful and in control. A piece of time that was shattered after she became romantically involved with an exchange student from Ivras. A large stag by the name of Devron who could not control his magic and was sent away, to be a ward of a mage who knew his power better than his homeland. An all for naught solution that cost Devron his life only two years after his transfer. Corruption would take the stage as his mentor took advantage of the young male’s power in an attempt to gain control of the Ministry. Devron would escape into the surrounding plains the night his mentor was arrested for their crimes. In his final days, Eopei hunted her lover and eventually subdued him with her abilities.

Returning him to The Ministry, the Zebra begged her colleagues to find a way to revert Devron back and spare him execution. Despite her pleas, this was refused.

The death of Devron sparked rage filled curiosity in Eopei and eventually her questioning was threatened by The Ministry unless silenced. Yet, she wanted more, to know why, and watching more young life wasted destroyed her. If there is cause, then there is effect. Prevention. A cure. This madness drove her to risk her life as she escaped. If this school had no answers for her, she would flee and find them. To Ivras. A kingdom more advanced than any, Devron had told her. Though she knew this would be her sole quest and that The Order, or any of its deviations, would never let her rest for her parting.

The last few years of her life would be in secrecy, living within the Kingdom of Ivras and traveling its vast corners in search of answers.

Keynotes:

● Doesn't believe corrupted mages should be killed and believes in the research to revert them back. ● Doesn't believe that the monarchy has tamed magic at all and that magic is only very minimally understood despite what The Order claims. ● Heavily researches Magic and its ability to corrupt. ● Believes magic should be better taught outside of the Order and that the general population would benefit with a better education on the topic.

●Entrapment● The User focuses on the target and a rune begins to appear below them. The target must remain in place for succession. Once the rune is completed, the lettering begins to spread onto the target's form as stripes and ties them into a snare. The snare is only freed when the caster releases their spell. At Eopei's current state, she can only Trap one target at a time, for a duration of an hour.
●General Enchantment● At her current state Eopei can preform general enchantments, such as harmless suggestions (i.e You're hungry, might want to eat. You're sleey, is it bedtime?), or attempting to charm someone, or something, into believing she is no threat.

Costs

  • Magic use reduces the caster's mobility or reflexes.
  • Magic takes a long time or requires a lengthy ceremony to cast.
  • Magic use fatigues the caster.
