Positive Traits

  • good deal-maker
  • hard working
  • persistent

Negative Traits

  • not a great fighter
  • petrifying phobia of the dark
  • can't leave her trader mindset (everything's a deal to her)

Personality

Selena's been a deal maker, a trader, for nearly her entire life, so of course she sees most things through that lens. Every discussion with her seems like some kind of social trade - Selena will not accept help without offering the same amount in return, and neither will she help others out of her goodwill alone. Some might think it a strange sentiment, but Selena finds the most joy in life in a fair deal.

She's an incredibly determined lion: no goal, once set, is out of her reach, and she'll work as long and hard as she needs to for it to happen. Her drive often ends up inspiring those around her - so everyone knows, when Selena's sent with a group, it's going to be an efficient mission.

Her latest goal, learning the art of combat, might not be related to training, but now that she's decided it shall be so, she spends hours each day practicing (even if she's quite terrible at it for the present moment.)

History

A trader seeking to become a warrior.

Selena's been in the business of peddling her wares across Starheart for quite some time now - it's only more recently that the land has become more dangerous. She's needed to fight off bandits, monsters, and thieves while on the trail. Previously, she had traveled with a group of traders - but all of them are gone now, off on their own adventures. So Selena decided to go on an adventure as well.

There were stories out there, of course, about a group of friendly warriors who would welcome anyone in to their group who was willing to assist. Selena figured she could make some sales there, perhaps try and get the warriors any supplies they needed - but while she was there, wouldn't that be a great time to learn from them, too? The skill of how to fight, of how to keep her goods safe - sounded delightful. So to the Regiment she went.
