When Kibou and Patience were traveling around trying to find a safe place to live, Ryota found them and offered to help them and protect them during their travels. He may look big and scary but he keeps up that persona to help protect people from danger and is always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He and Patience get together later in the story. Hes the father of Envy, Lust and the rest of their sibs
