Fujimoto Kana (藤本かな, Fujimoto ka na), also known as Waterworks (上水道, Jōsuidō) is a student in Class 1-A (2031) and formerly a student of Shiketsu High.

Kana is an exceptionally short and frail girl with curly blue hair and impossibly large golden eyes. She's small, even for her age, but is filled to the brim with energy and life. She flip-flops between looking very healthy and dangerously ill, a byproduct of her difficult Quirk.

Before officially joining Class 1-A, she is seen sporting her Shiketsu High uniform. After transfering to UA, she wears the UA school uniform with a skirt that falls to her ankles. Redgardless of her clothing, she dresses modestly and doesn't reveal much skin.

Kana is a very energetic young girl that's weighed down by a deep tiredness from her chronic pain and health issues. Despite her unfortunate lot in life, she refuses to mope. She's hungry for knowledge, and will purposefully learn all that she can with or without the permission from authority figures. Social Interaction is not her forte, and she can come off as rude, awkward, or both. This is due to her undiagnosed asperger syndrome.

She is very lonely. As a child, she was unable to leave her room, which led to her being unable to make friends with children her own age. She spent much of her time doing research on the outside world, and even came up with a temporary cure for her health issues shortly after turning thirteen. She only attended Middle School briefly, before being elevated to High-School due to her academic scores. This unintentionally caused her to be an outcast among her peers once more.

Crybaby: Kana can cry on command. Her tears are an half-liquid purple that she can use as projectiles against any of her foes.

Quirk

Purple Tear (紫の涙, Murasaki no namida): Kana's tears are a gooey purple semi-liquid. The tears can be collected and used as projectiles. She has limited control over the tears, and is able to harden or turn them into an odorous gas.

• Kana's name means 藤 meaning wisteria./ 元 meaning beginning, former time, origin and 佳 meaning excellent, beautiful, good, pleasing, skilled. / 奈 meaning Nara.
• Kana was the youngest student to be accepted into Skiketsu High, and is the second youngest student to join UA.
• When she was young, Kana had a twin sister who died when they were both toddlers.
