disastrously injured by being too close to a fight against Eggman, Tru woke up in a hospital face-to-face with the villain himself. out of the supposed kindness of his heart, he'd brought her back from the brink of death and even replaced the parts of her that were too damaged to heal on their own... with the caveat being that, unless she worked under him, she'd slowly die as her new parts wore themselves down (and he was the only one that knew how to maintain them).

she's frustrated with the situation she's trapped in, but has also decided to make the most of it. she gets a paycheck, she gets to live, and she's learned how to dissociate herself from the terrible things she and her boss are doing. maybe he's not that bad a guy after all? ..no, he definitely is.
