sympathetic . stoic . unyeilding
a natural born leader. speaks softly, but with a confidence. incredibly level headed, and fair. easily able to be reasoned with, and more than willing to barter. a diplomat more than he is anything else. still, steadfast to his beliefs. determined to a fault. unwavering. unmovable. sympathizes with mages, though lacks enough empathy to leave them be. treats them kindly if he can. guts them if he cannot. content with what is, never bothered by what isn't, or what could have been. unafraid of getting dirty, though always attempts a more pleasant route first if he can.
a wonderful ally. not prone to cruelty or betrayal for the simple sake of either. a rotten foe, for he believes both are necessary at times. and he is always willing to do what is necessary.

The Beginning. . .
- born a diplomat, really. a bright child, academically and socially. it was predicated youth would be hard on him ( a naturally small child, and a quiet one ), but this was far from the truth. learned that shadows were rarely paid any mind, but were always there - and thus became one. his brother's more specifically. stuck to his siblings for conflict that needed brawn, excelled in anything tasking of the brain. not a shy child by any means.
- continued to dictate far from the spotlight well into adulthood, though it slowly was more to his benefit and less out of necessity. spends his time as a liaison for large scale trading, and stuffy nobles. finds the jobs easy, albeit unexciting. unwilling to admit he craves something more. something dangerous. a challenge. is swept into a guild, driven partly by a tryst and partly by a desire for the dirty work of a hired steel.
- climbs his way to the top of the guild. under his rule, they become a small empire. slowly transitions into hunting mages after miriam's election, finding the business lucrative ( and one that pleases his parents ).
