Strict, dedicated and known for his humorless nature, Whitaker is a disciplined student of the unforgiving world he was brought up by. A Witchfinder by trade, he spends every waking (and few resting) moment searching for the justice he believes can be found in the capture of mages. He is honorable, though misplacedly so, and deeply distrustful of anything touched by magic.

Whitaker does not remember his childhood as some others may, because there wasn't much of one to speak of. His father was a non-magic member of the Ivration Navy, and he saw as much of him as he saw of the mythical creatures his mother told him of in her stories. The immateriality of his father, coupled with the very short life his mother lived did not leave much in the way of familial relations, and thus he was left to deal with their absence and his growing bitterness alone.
The gentle soul of his mother did not leave willingly; her life was taken on a hot, sickly humid night, one that had the inhabitants of the humble cabin retiring early in hopes of sleeping away the discomfort. On nights like these, blood lets as easy as sweat.
Whitaker would hear the sounds of that night until his last day. Not the gruesome ones the scene would warrant, but the mundane din of the dark; incessant crickets, a bullfrog's booming call, the whisper of leaf against leaf against leaf.

Nearly two decades later, Whitaker found himself in the shoes of a bountyhunter, searching for solace in bringing justice down upon those that can weild the dangers of magic. As his pockets grow heavy, his soul follows suit.
The weight of the air is with him still.

Sun Summoner
Whitaker is able to harness and emit both the light and heat of the sun. Both heat and light can be emitted from a concentrated area (eyes, mouth, hooves), or from his body as a whole. More concentrated bursts are formiddable weapons, able to cut through almost any solid object. Emission from a larger area spreads and dilutes the effects, but this can still cause harm to others in the form of severe burns or temporary blindness, depending on the intensity. Whitaker is not currently capable of weilding his power, nor is he even aware of that which he possesses. His only hint that he is something other is the intense fevers he is prone to, never accompanied by sickness.

Summoning causes him to lose track of his surroundings, temporarily paralyzing him. Paralysis subsides once the act of summoning ceases.
