Merete can be a very intimidating woman upon first meeting, and not just due to her physique. She's a woman who's confidence radiates off of her and everything she does; she's earned her place and she has the proof apparent to anyone who sees her. She has a commanding presence and is very comfortable with being in a position of leadership, though she's almost surprisingly eager to hear the viewpoints and strategies of others. While with other nobles and people she keeps at arm's length, she is well-mannered, polite, and pretty aloof once she's in the company of those she considers her compatriots, she brightens up considerably and becomes a lively, excitable person. Merete is incredibly sharp-witted and able to change a plan on a dime. She can get bored very easily, however, and can come across as pretty dismissive towards anything that doesn't hold her attention. As such, she is more than willing to try anything that puts her mind and body to the test. She's very protective over her family.

Youth

Twin sister to the Crown Prince of Vindur and as such one of the eldest of five Vindur royal children, Merete willingly left the responsibilities of the throne to her brother in order to pursue her own interests; military strategy, specifically related to naval operations. From a child she ravenously consumed any and all material relating to the subject, constantly went over different formations and strategies, watched and learned as much as she could. By the time she was an adult, she had more than earned her place as a military and naval leader on her own merits, rather than reliance on her status as princess.

Adulthood

Now, she commands the respect of many kingdoms for her leadership and battle prowess, and often meets with other leaders alongside her twin brother to discuss strategy and alliances with Vindur. Still, as much as she would prefer for her naval duties to be her only title, the duties of a princess of Vindur still are hers. As such, she also has to meet with many suitors, though none of the arrangements have kept her attention long enough to make any true progress.

• Is very jumpy on her left side due to being blind in that eye. She warns people to alert her before they come up on that side, as otherwise she tends to ready a sword faster than she can think.
