Proud Compassionate Outspoken Stubborn Indecisive Dramatic

Eko is bold and outspoken but is honestly more of a follower than a leader. They struggle with making important decisions and sticking with them and lacks the foresight to concoct any detailed plans or anything involving subtly and prefers to work at one issue at a time, relying on whatever their gut tells them is the right thing to do. That said, they are stubborn and dislike being ordered around or disagreed with even as they waffle for hours, much preferring to struggle on their own than ask for help. To help save face in light of this, Eko is eager to keep advancing without dwelling on past mistakes and is quick to let things go or accept new ideas if it means mitigating past mistakes. They were rather spoiled growing up, at least until her parents got swept up in the altera competitions, so they can be haughty and vain, but they are compassionate and is more than willing to take risks for what they belief to be right or for those they care about.

Despite their appearance and love of the cute and elegant, Eko loves the thrill of combat and is dedicated to improving their skill set. Winning anything through their own strength and diligence with no reliance on their status or family is the greatest high for them since it gives them a needed confidence boost in their own abilities and proves that they are, in fact, amazing and their family is missing out by doting on their own weird obsessions when they should be praising how far they've come on their own merit.

• Kejang noble who began to feel neglected as their parents began obsessing over their presh altera pets (perhaps there was a growing competition between the nobles??) and became preoccupied with collecting & dressing them up so Eko instead turned to fighting for Glory and also lots of attention, thanks, they’re great and their horse is better than yours

• They eventually began paying more attention to the altera/eidolon colosseum matches in the hopes of learning more about fighting and also because it was cool BUT one of the matches they happened to see involved a former pet/servant from their household who got absolutely slaughtered and uh they weren’t really sure how they felt about that but it wasn’t a fun time watching someone they had personally known for years die while people cheered, even if it was just a dumb altera, which made them conflicted about the entire thing

• Eventually their family got another new fancy altera and decided they no longer needed one of them who had fallen out of style. Eko volunteered to bring the altera servant to wherever it is they turn in altera to the colosseum or whatever but ended up going to a restaurant to mull over what to do since they were no longer comfortable with letting an altera they had lived with for years die like that. After their like, sixth cup of tea there they decided they couldn’t go through with it and went down to the docks instead

• Runs into Jayadi who tries to scam the altera from them after overhearing them trying to send the altera away by ship to what he believes is certain death, but it eventually comes to light that Eko is trying to get the altera to safety instead so Eko ultimately ends up joining Jayadi as well. They can’t really participate in the thieves guild, however, and generally just donates funds or by buying any supplies they need

• They collect antiques, especially antique toys and dolls
• It takes one wrong phrase for them to form an aggressive rivalry with someone and they are not shy about throwing down that gauntlet
• Physically incapable of shutting up for extended periods of time
• They were big into retail therapy before they realized they could channel everything into fighting instead. They still love shopping though
