Kafu

"The circumstances of one's birth are irrelevent," is a belief that Kafu has always held. As both a bastard child, and a Beasten in a country that loathes them, the unfortnate prince was doomed to lead a difficult life. Kafu was born in the country of Goshijan, since his mother was a victim of his father's infidelity and lust. She lived in hiding with her young son for many years, under the protection of her close friend, a concubine of the Goshijan King at the time. Eventually, she was found by Kafu's father and was confined to forever live by the King's side as an unofficial concubine, in Arahas. It was at this point where Kafu's life took a turn for the worst. He was in constant fear of assassination and subject to ostracism from the people of his country. His only friend whilst growing up in these hostile conditions, was his nephew, Gerav. They were very similar in age, resulting in a close brotherly friendship; this, however, had to remain secret. At the age of 24, Kafu's mother was murdered after the king had died. This traumatic event, accompanied by the disgust of the state of Arahas, cultivated a volatile anger within Kafu. A violent "tyrant king" had emerged. Gerav was the only one spared in Kafu's bloody pursuit of usurping the throne. The years of decimating his enemies had garnered a rather ominous reputation for Kafu... but, under his rule, the people had noticed that this "tyrant king" may not be as much of a tyrant as they originally thought. All Kafu had ever wanted was a home and country not riddled with slavery, poverty, discrimination, crime, corruption, and greed. He plans to end the age of fear in Arahas, once and for all.
