Deepkit was born to Streamclan at the edge of the twoleg city. He was the only kit born to his parents and his life was fairly normal until he left the nursery. He was his parents pride and joy, though they were both a bit cold and were never affectionate with him.

Apprenticeship

Deeppaw was a warrior apprentice initially but when Bonestar, the previous leader of streamclan, found out that his son and deeppaw were in a relationship Bonestar made Deeppaw medicine cat apprentice and forbade him from ever taking a mate. When he was named the next medcat apprentice, while most parents would have been proud their kit had been tasked with something so important, Deeppaw's parents were disappointed and angry. To further his punishment Bonestar had Deeppaws father continue with a cruel punshiment that continued until the night his father died. During his time as an apprentice Deeppaws mother left the clan, stating that she was ashamed of Deeppaw. This event shaped Deeppaws views of himself, which he carried into adulthood. Deeppaw developed a deep sense of self loathing and further pushed away anyone that he thought was getting too close to him

Medicine Cat

Deepwaters became the clans Medicine Cat after the previous one died from the smoke of the forest fire and starvation. Deepwaters was devestated by the loss of his mentor and only friend. Though he treats his clanmates with respect he wouldnt call any of them his friends, not that many would want to be friends with the grumpy sarcastic cat anyway. Deepwaters had watched a kit with odd tics and asked Sagestar to make Cherrykit his apprentice.

Once Cherrypaw was named as his apprentice much of Deepwaters attention was devoted entirely to her. Anything he did was for her benefit. His apprentice is the first cat he has ever loved more than himself and he would do anything for her. During the battle between the clan Deepwaters was mortally wounded and Named Cherrypaw, Cherrywish, as she was everything he had ever wished to get in life. Deepwaters would have succumbed to his injuries if not for Cherrywish praying to Starclan, a prayer that was answered.

Current

Deepwaters is recovering from the battle, he still walks with a limp and gets short of breath easily. Though Cherrywish's prayer to starclan was heard and he was spared, Deepwaters will likely live with these injuries the remainder of his life.
