A recap: Potion sippers are shapeshifters, but as a whole their species does have a general 'average look', which includes a set of fleshy wings (which can be hidden or conjured at will). Although their wings don't always look like they could function for flight, all sippers are capable of doing so regardless. Magic-repelling qualities on the underside of their wings/belly allow them to slide/glide through the air in places where magic is thick enough (this looks sort of like a penguin sliding on its belly). They can still fly in places where magic is more scarce too, although they are forced to use their own magic to do so.
Shown here are some common examples of sipper wing placements (not the wing shape or size itself, those can vary wildly between individuals), although they can technically come in any placement style regardless since again, they are shapeshifters. Sippers can also temporarily change their wing placement at any time to suit their current needs.
Please feel free to use any of these styles for your sippers, combine them together, tweak/adjust them, or use something entirely new!
Classic: Wings emerge somewhere along the back, and are often triangular in shape with membrane connecting along the sides of the torso.
Wyvern: Wings emerge from the front limbs in a wyvern-like fashion, with membrane connecting along the sides of the arms and torso.
Wingless: Wings temporarily are hidden or non-existent.
Cape: Wings emerge from the neck area and drape around the back and/or front. There's no membrane connecting these wings to the body (except for where it emerges on the neck) so they can move around and behave exactly the same as an actual cape could.
Tailwing: Similar to classic, except they emerge on the hips or along the tail.
In the context of the potential future game, there are certain wing shapes/attributes that you would need to unlock the respective special feature set in order to use (ex. literal bird wings, bat wings, insect wings, ect). Outside of the context of the game, sipper owners are free to use/add special features on their sipper designs with no restrictions, please feel free! You can view those here.
