Because being a member of Na'gor´s clan before she wasn´t that much surpriced by the agressive personality of some members from the pirate crew. She had respect of their strength and was still afraid that they should do something bad with her but it wasn´t that worse like her life before. Well kind of...
The first days she was on their ship she was just kept with a rope bounded on heir neck with a tight collar in the kapitäns cabin. But because of destroying things, trying to flee (by this action she was near to drwoning because of falling over the ship) and biting him, she got keept in a cage. Abeline had much problems to get used to this kind of traveling (seasick).
The rest of her time she has spend with the pirates she was keept in that cage wich was fixed on the deck. It doesn´t matter how the weather turned she was at this place all the time. Trying not to show their feellings and crying because she missed their parents and the dry land. They get her out of the cage really rarly when they go ashore. She watched that weird crew carefully, maybe to leran new stuff or to understand why they are doing the stuff they do. This time formed her personality in a different way.
