Blanche is above all kind and polite. He does as he is told and he does it with great joy. Because he is so eager to learn and work, he can bother people sometimes (which is not what he wants). A very hardworking student. Since he has left home, he isn't as lonely anymore. He looks at the world with big, curious eyes and loves to see new things. Even after leaving home, he's still naive and doesn't read other Pouflon's true intentions well. He is fine on his own now but enjoys the company of others much more.
The parents of Blanche own a farm in Goldfair where they own huge sugar beet fields. Working on those fields is hard, but he has three older brothers that help out. They are all Plucky like their mother, so compared to Blanche they are very strong and big. Blanche isn't allowed to help on the fields because his parents think he is to fragile for that. He gets the small tasks (just to keep him busy) like chasing away Pippets or baking pastries. They wouldn't want there precious little son or brother to get hurt, so he grew up very sheltered. Despite that, he did have two friends, Akia and Thistle, who were adventurous and a bit of troublemakers.
It is also very clear that his parents are quite simple minded. For example, they have wings but refuse to use them. When something is out of their reach (which almost never happens) they grab a ladder. They also don't allow Blanche to use his wings, it is dangerous and not necessary. No magic will be used in their house, they are strong enough to just simply carry everything. Luckily Blanche is far more open minded, and doesn't see harm in many things they despise. So when nobody is watching him, he practices his flying or his magical skills. Now he has fled home with Hazen's help after his friend Thistle got snatched by a Vespire and Akia got more and more work to do. He got accepted at Riddlelock and is in his second grade (tier) now. When school lets the children leave for a while to go out and gain experience, he travels the world with Xerxes. He always has a lot to tell when he gets back to school.
- He has poisoned himself more then once while trying to make treats with special effects.
- Loves sweet things, especially chocolate.
- He has heard stories about a Pouflon named Kit, who is a traveler and sometimes visits Goldfair. Blanche likes his stories a lot.
- When he flies, it looks like a drunk bird in a hurricane.

Childhood friend

When Blanche lived in Goldfair, he only had a few friends. Akia was one of them. Blanche always stuck with him and a Pouflon named Thistle, they were much more adventurous and got him into trouble on occasions. But, Thistle one day got snatched by a Vespire, and Akia got more and more work as he got older. So, Blanche finally left. He never told Akia even though he really wanted to, it was best if his friend didn't know anything. He still misses him.

This girl has quite a temper and is as determined as Blanche (if not more) to complete her goal. Blanche sometimes learns new words from her, which Xerxes is not very pleased about (it usually ends with Xerxes almost choking to death with whatever he is drinking at that moment, and then whooping Blanche's ass really bad) She can get him in dangerous situations a lot of times, but she also protects him from his own clueless and naive decisions, and from bullies. She's really cool!

Blanche just passed his first class at Riddlelock when he met this Pouflon. He was kind enough to let Blanche jon him on his journey. He knows a lot about surviving in the wild and traveling. Xerxes can be a bit pushy though.
