"The world tried to burn all the mercy out of me
But you know I wouldn't let it"

Name Graham Perigard
Age 30
Height 5'10"
Build Lean muscle, pudgy around torso
Ethnicity British/German
Gender Male
Personality

Graham – by nature – is extremely diligent and conscientious. Raised on a farm, he knows the dangers of not following rules. As a result, Graham has a near photographic memory for any guidelines that need to be followed in the area he's in - which can make 'vacations' a particular pain because he goes so far to learn and remember customs that only those who've studied the culture for years would know about.

While he is sweet, in that he rarely – if ever - yells at anyone, he will call out anyone who is breaking a rule. Graham never lets someone breaking the rules slide, yet he never gives out a punishment for it beyond a stern chewing out disguised with a kind tone. He assumes that the persons good will will stop them from doing it again, as he believes that no one can truly be malicious or evil. He is a vehement supporter of the 'nurture' portion in the nature vs nurture discourse, he fully believes the actions someone carries out as an adult is a result from trauma or any other event they experienced as a child.

If he's suspicious about things, he often seeks answers out to either confirm or deny his suspicions on the down low, which sometimes gets him into trouble.

History

The middle child of a large farming family. A mother, father, two younger and older siblings. His childhood was tedious, primarily filled with farm work. Graham didn't mind it honestly, he enjoyed it far more than his siblings did. His siblings would constantly poke fun at him for being so willing to do the work others found boring or tedious but Graham always shrugged it off because there was peace to be found in such menial tasks. However, he always left the chores involving cows, pigs, etc. to his siblings as being around the larger livestock frightened him due to a near death experience with a panicked horse.

He was not big on joining his father work the large machinery like tractors and ploughs but he always sprung to action when asked to help out in his mother's small herb and vegetable garden. There was something about plants that fascinated him. The wonderful lime green color of new sprouts, the dew that would collect overnight and reflect the morning sun. He was so utterly obsessed with the garden his family often made jokes that he could actually talk with the plants, personally find out what was ailing them, and nurse them back to health. Graham himself never really understood the joke, but he did always figure out what was causing a plant's health to fail. It's a talent he maintained into adulthood, in fact.

He bore witness to the miracle of life many times, it was an appreciation that would never leave him - even after 20 years when he left the farm life behind. From then on it was mainly city life for him, something he felt rather out of his element in. Despite it, he got through seminary school with relative ease as he had been the only one of his siblings to entirely maintain their interest in religion, and there was a deep rooted desire within Graham to help those desperate for guidance.

Graham would hold, for the area, relatively small sermons within a local church before the archdiocese would transfer him out to a relatively old and rundown church in the outskirts of Austria. There he would meet Tobias and come to understand why no one stuck around that church for long.

but Graham's not leaving any time soon, not willingly at least.

Tobias it's complicated

Given the option to not meet Tobias entirely, he probably would've taken it. He definitely thinks Tobias has a ton of issues to work through but unlike Dante, he's willing to help him out in any way possible. Graham would take the brunt of his abusive behavior if it meant it wouldn't be directed at anyone else.

Dante Friend

They would literally die for each other. Both are reduced to excited children who haven't seen their friends in months when Dante drops by to visit. Graham fully supports Dante's gardening skills, even when the only thing that can survive under his care is a cactus.
