Dante

Dante is a shy, skittish individual, often fretting over little things. Having been teased over his heterochromia as a kid, Dante developed poor self esteem and as such, is self conscious about many things to different degrees.

Completely faithful in the good of man, Dante believes that humanity is inherently kind. Even when someone is rude to him or people he cares about or his kindness is taken for granted, Dante cannot bring himself to hate someone.

He is a strong believer in God, to the point where he almost fears him - however Dante believes that God would not make his children needlessly suffer. Thus when faced with any hardship, Dante believes that it is only an obstacle to test his faith - however if anyone else is having trouble, Dante tries his best to help them get through.

Born in a small village within Italy, Dante was a 'mama's boy' - he always hung around his Mother and helped her with anything she needed. Dante's father died when he was around 3-4 years old - his mother saying that he was in Heaven with the Lord - influencing Dante's later decision to go into priesthood.

Even as a child, Dante was forced to be closeted. His innocent question of affection towards a male best friend was immediately shot down by his mother - and soon after Dante had it ingrained in him that being homosexual was a sin.

As an adult, Dante refuses to acknowledge he’s gay because of his faith and therefore thinks there is some part of him that is deeply flawed/broken. Dante hates that he’s attracted to men because he feels like he’ll never be worthy, and he’s scared by it. His entire logic is that if he ignores it and serves the Lord that he can somehow be forgiven for, in his mind, “being born wrong”
