Profile

Castor is an alpha Gliscor, and the leader of Team Silverwind. He has a cheeky air to him, being known to treat a lot of his battles like a mere game. He also likes to treat himself as a "tough guy" in public, often not really making many connections due to this. However, this is mostly a front, and all his walls come down when he's around those he trusts and truly cares about, becoming more silly and sweet. (Asha for one has never seen the "tough guy" side of him) When he's faced with a situation that is either serious, or hits close to him for him, he drops his cheeky air entirely and acts with nothing less than cold fury. Like his child, he's very stubborn, and is usually set on seeing his goals to the end.

Castor was born in the Great Marsh to an alpha Drapion, Bruno, and a Gliscor that had been released into the wild, Dusk. He was the only surviving pup from the brood, to the dismay of his parents. Bruno was the leader/guardian of a swarm of Skorupi, and they weren't too pleased with Bruno for having a child with an outsider, so none of them took well to Castor's presence- no one was cruel to him, they didn't want to risk anything with Bruno, but he was always excluded. Dusk ended up abandoning Castor when he was young, so Castor ended up clinging very hard to Bruno. Bruno was very happy to have a child, since he'd always wanted one, but his grief from losing his mate and children, him feeling like he'd lost the trust of his swarm, and the knowledge that Castor wouldn't be able to stay and thrive in the swarm through adulthood made him rather stressed. He focused all of his energy on teaching Castor how to be a "proper" alpha to his own Gligar colony one day, feeling like it was the best he could give him. However, Bruno had very... lopsided views on leadership due to his own troubled past. He taught Castor that being a leader was to be self sacrificing, that the strength and health of his group always came before himself no matter what. That he was special, and to be a leader meant he had to handle the brunt of everything his group suffered by himself. This, combined with the fact that he had no idea how to raise a baby Gligar, meant that Castor didn't exactly have the most productive childhood. He grew to be a lonely Gligar, ostracized from what he knew, but who didn't know how to glide.

[insert spoiler stuff here i don't want to get into rn lmao]

Years later, Castor was transported to the PMD universe during a trip with his trainer. Castor was confused and unfamiliar with the world around him, not knowing how to exist in a world without humans when his life was previously dominated by them. He was taken in to the Persian's Bounty Guild by Shona so that he would have a place to stay, and he decided to formally join them so that he could grow stronger and get access to more resources that would allow him to try and get home, as well as learn more about the voice in his head that had spoken up ever since he'd fallen. However, he failed the entrance exam miserably, in part because he went at it alone.

He formed a fierce rivalry with Atlas, an outlaw who committed heists alongside his sister. Atlas had stolen an Eviolite from him, his last possession from home, and Castor was determined to take him down and get it back. Despite his type advantage though, the two of them were on equal footing and couldn't overpower the other. The two became obsessed with defeating the other, until one incident had them sit down and talk about their circumstances. Here, Castor realized the three of them had more to gain from teaming up, rather than fighting. And so, Team Silverwind was formed by the three of them, with Castor as their leader. It was a team formed out of convenience, so it was rather divided at first, but a series of events had turned the three of them into a found family, with Atlas and Castor even falling for one another and becoming mates. Castor gave up on returning home, as there was no gate he could find, and he actually felt even more at home with Atlas and Quinn. He had a child with Atlas, a Gligar named Asha, and for a while, everything was okay.

Until a certain mission Silverwind took that resulted in every member going missing, including Asha. They found themselves outside of the gate to their world, unable to go back inside. Not only that, but eventually the four became separated. Quinn was the first to vanish, Castor was the second, and Atlas, the last remaining member, was left with Asha until he had vanished as well. The guild was devastated, and when too much time had passed and nothing turned up, considered the four to be dead.

Asha, however, had dedicated herself to finding her family and bringing all of them home, no matter how many worlds she has to search through. Ultra space may be big, but her love for her family is bigger.

-He is Atlas's mate, and Asha's father. He loves them both, and misses them intensely. He did not vanish willingly.

-His nature used to be Timid.

-He realized he was trans after he'd fallen into the PMD world. Though he'd known what it meant to be trans, since his trainer was nonbinary, he didn't really have much of an identity outside of what his trainer thought of him and was pretty distant from himself. He did a lot of introspection once he was on his own, and realized he wasn't actually a woman pretty soon. He's got a really good support system from the guild and his team who love him as he is.

-On that note though he totally didn't name himself after a protagonist of a book he liked at the local library. He HATES reading. Totally. Don't read "The Chronicles of Nightwalkers" it SUCKS and he totally didn't draw himself as Castor Van Grant, the handsome Nightwalker that proved the town wrong about him, at the bottom of all the pages! There's NO relation between the names, a total coincidence!!

-Though he has no desire to return to his original world, he does miss his trainer and friends from there. He wishes he could've at least said goodbye to them.

-If I didn't want to hold back on swearing in this story, Castor would be a sailormouth for sure.

-He has a torn ear and scars on his throat. Due to this, he has a rather scratchy voice, and he can't yell or raise his voice much without stress. If a situation calls for it, he'll try to use his echolocation as a substitute.

-He is an Alpha so he stands at 9'9'' feet tall counting his tail, and 6'1'' from head to toe.

-Voice Claim: Troupe Master Grimm
