Personality

Takes itself wayyy too seriously. Is really edgy (but secretly sensitive and dorky ie “you made me miss [favorite anime]! You will pay!” Stubborn, is FULLY convinced that it is a zangoose. Doesn’t like being left behind (or falling behind). They are more than willing to fight god to prove themself. They're desperate to feel worthy. He is very emotionally charged.

Seviper, falling behind (literal and performance), pokemon trying to convince them that they are not a zangoose, most other pokemon outside the pack, things being handed to him, pokemon finding out that they like cute and pretty things

Backstory

 After the egg rolled out of the nest, they hatched. Right when they were born, they were attacked by a hungry seviper that was hoping to eat the egg. Fortunately, a pack of zangoose were nearby and could not resist getting into a quarrel with the seviper, saving the Torchic. The torchic imprinted on the zangoose and, though unintentionally saving the torchic, adopted them into the pack. Unfortunately, the seviper had landed a hit on the torchic, permanently damaging its left leg. It walks with a limp and can't feel anything. Otherwise, they are pretty happy. They are treated well, but… They don’t feel like they are living up to themselves. Combusken have strength in their legs, zangoose have strength in their claws. No matter how hard they try, they never seem to catch up. They will run off into danger in hopes of proving themselves worthy. They are unaware that they can evolve (they will eventually when they eventually prove themself worthy).
