Finch grew up in the Sky Kingdom under the rule of Queen Scarlet. He had a decently normal life—until the war started. Finch spent a large portion of it organizing supplies and gathering food for soldiers. During this time, he met a SkyWing named Topaz. The two quickly fell in love and eventually had an egg together, though Topaz was never able to see it hatch.
Finch was devastated when he realized that he’d have to raise his dragonet without Topaz, but he took his role as a parent very seriously and cared for his child tirelessly. He named her Kiran, and loved her unconditionally for as long as he could.
But he knew he wouldn’t be able to forever. Soon enough, Queen Scarlet needed more soldiers to fight, and Finch was one of the dragons summoned to battle. He left Kiran in the dragonet nursery, and wished her goodbye; hoping to all the moons that he would be able to return to her one day.
