Nic, Sergei and Jin know each other since their school years, Nic and Jin met in light-magic class, started dating and never parted ever since. They live together in a house doubling as a potion shop. They like to travel around on their brooms a lot.

In my verse Witches (and Wizards) usually have 2 to 3 basic magic and a specialty magic

Details about their respective Specialties:

• Healing: Nicolai can accelerate the healing process of people but not full regeneration of lost limbs.
• Ink: Sergei can turn his art of object into real physical object for a small amount of time (the smaller the object the longer it will last)
• Plants: Jin can make plants grow from almost anything as long as the targeted material contain/is covered in enough moistness (yes he could turn you into a walking garden if he wanted)

Also bonus fact. Jin doesn’t need a wand to practice his magic. Witch wands are only here to channel and focus the user’s magic,   unlike the Wizard’s wand in this which are the source of the user’s magic. Wizard are human who learn magic while witch are born magic (therefore not exactly human? or a slightly different breed of human?).

Then there are the Neptrois! they are people (either born from 2 wizards, 2 witches or parent from each species(?)) that are are unable to use magic, they cant learn it nor use magic-based items properly. a handful of them become magicians, they fake their magic by using technology to pass as a normal magic-user.
