Profile
Kylie is an independent, insightful and determined girl, though she can be quiet at times and is prone to getting lost in her own thoughts. She has a fascination with ancient history, mythology, astronomy, and, of course, Duel Monsters. Wanting to learn all that she can, she can often be found reading books on those subjects in her free time.
With her ability to see Duel Monster spirits, Kylie is extremely close to her cards. She is most often seen speaking with "Halley, Dracosmos of Transiency", but is able to communicate with all of her spirit friends. Having spent years with a dragon-based deck, Kylie has come to develop a skill where she can understand what her dragons' growls, roars, and sounds mean.
While she can be personable enough when she needs to be, she won’t go out of her way to make people like or befriend her, and she doesn't like to get overly attached to others outside of her family, either. This is mostly due to her upbringing. Since both of her parents had jobs that required her family to travel and move around constantly when she was growing up, she didn’t see the point of forming bonds with others if they were just going to get severed once she had to relocate somewhere else. The only person she really let herself get close to outside of her family was the son of her father’s best friend, a boy named Jesse Anderson, since they met when they were kids and she was able to spend time with him more often than most.
When it comes to those she cares about, Kylie can be pretty selfless and sympathetic and is loyal and protective towards them, always willing to be there for them in time of need and put their well being before her own.
Conversely, she has a noticeable disdain for people who act entitled and like flaunting their privilege around and tries to avoid those types at all costs. She also dislikes it when people act lazy, careless, or don’t even bother to apply themselves at all.
Despite her lack of social skills, dueling seems to make it slightly easier for Kylie to interact with her peers and begin to open up to them a bit more since she is better able to express herself through her cards, in part thanks to her brother’s teachings.
Kylie appears to be very confident in her own capabilities. She doesn't back down from anyone and isn’t afraid to speak her mind, though she will readily admit when she messes up. She does her best to keep herself calm, collected and level-headed at all times but doesn't always succeed. When embarrassed or stressed, she often gets her thoughts jumbled and reverts to speaking her native language, though she has learned how to calm herself down fairly quickly after being overwhelmed.

- In terms of beign a cat or dog person, Kylie is one-hundred percent a dog person. Though this is probably due to her allergy to cats (which she inherited from her father; and why she tends to stay away from Pharaoh).
- Her favorite colors are dark reds and blues.
- Kylie is ambidextrous, using her left-hand to write, but duels using her right arm. She later gains a custom-made Duel Disk which is fited to her right arm.
- Her favorite mythological creature are dragons, which works in her favor of her deck.
- When she began school, it was quickly realized the thigns she was learning were too easy for her, and Kylie was skipped a grade, putting her in the same class as Jesse. Having skipped a grade, she is in the same school grade as a normal 15-year-old.
- There is hints of ancestors of the Reynolds family being from the United Kingdom and the moved to Canada, where they settled in Quebec, Canada.
Kylie is a teenage girl with an average complextion, with a slender physique. She has thin eyebrows with thick eyelashes that arch around sharp, dark red eyes. Originally born with her father's matching, pale blonde-white hair, she later dyes it, black with varying shades of blue. Her ears of pierced, which she wears a pair of Nordic-style, twisted hoop earrings. In the beginning, she wears a Valkyrie-Firebird inspired necklace, that she inherited from her mother. Kylie later gains a necklace inspired by Jörmungandr, the World Serpent, also given to her from her mother.
She has long luscious hair that is primarily black in color that turns various shades of blue that starts in the middle of her hair and goes to the end. She also has two shoulder-length side bangs, with some that fall between her eyes. Kylie tends to not push her bangs to the side, which leds them falling in front of her eyes, and her needing to push them back. She normally doesn't do anything special with her hair, but at times, will pull it back into a braid and have it laying over her shoulder.
At Duel Academy, Kylie wears a slightly modified version of the Girls' uniform: a black sleeveless turtleneck shirt, an open Obelisk Blue vest, dark blue-grey pants, and royal blue boots. She also wears a slanted black vest, with her Deck Case attached to it. The first few days, Kylie wore the standard uniform, but after finding the skirt uncomfortable, she changed.
When not wearing the School Uniform, Kylie goes for casual clothing. One of her outfits is a sleeveless, silver-white hooded jacket over a black, elbow-length sleeved shirt with a picture of the moon and stars, black jeans, and brown boots.
In Season 2 (Trials of Light), while with the Society of Light, Kylie initially wears the white and lavender coloration of the Girl Uniform. She soon switches to a white and lavender coloration of her modified uniform (which shows her friends that she is still in control). When she falls under the control of '''"Cosmic Dragon Stellaris"''', Kylie wears a black, and dark gray lined long-sleeve, hooded, long-tailed jacket over a black shirt, dark pants, and black and gray lined slight, heeled boots. She continues to wear her standard belt and multi-colored Deck case. After being freed, and for the remainder of the season, Kylie continues wearing the outfit, having grown fond of it.
In Season 3 (Trials of Dimensions), Kylie returns to Duel Academy, wearing a midnight blue and white coloration of the "Cosmic Dragon Stellaris" outfit. While traveling through the Dark World, Kylie adds a long, black traveling cloak to help her keep hidden in the shadows.
In Season 4 (Trials of Nightmares), much like the rest of the student, Kylie gains a new Duel Disk that has blue accents, representing her dorm.
The name Kylie comes from the Irish surname " O'Kiely" which derives from the Gaelic surname "O’Cadhla", meaning "graceful or beautiful". Her middle name Eryka is of Norweigian origin meaning "Someone who rules for eternity", fitting with her mother's heritage. The name Reynolds is a patronymic surname meaning "son of Reynold", where the given name of the father, "Reynold", or "Reginald", was a Germanic name meaning "Powerful Ruler" (possibly an alteration of the Old French name Reinold).
Kylie Eryka Reynolds a character in the fanfiction "Trials of Darkness", which is part of a four series. She is the younger sister of Blake Reynolds, the only daughter of Devon and Freya Reynolds, and the granddaughter of Willow Reynolds.
Born in Oslo, Norway, Kylie is the younger child and only daughter of Devon and Freya Reynolds, archaelogists in Ancient Egypt and Norse culture, respectively, the younger sister of Blake Reynolds, and the only granddaughter of Willow Reynolds, a Spiritual Medium.
Early in her childhood, Kylie befriended Jesse Anderson, the son of her father's childhood best friend, who would later become her ''only'' friend following her parents busy lives as archaelogists (resulting in them traveling at different times). With her parents' work, and never knowing when they might be in the country or traveling, Kylie and Blake went to online learning, allowing them to be able to learn if they are ever traveling. To avoid having to end friendships, Kylie opted to not make friends when they traveled, usually staying where they were staying, or going to the local library.
Spirit perception: From her bloodline, Kylie inherited power to see, hear, and be aware of spirits around her, which is not limited to just Duel Monster Spirits. She is mainly seen talking with her partner, "Halley, Dracosmos of Transiency", but can speak to all her Dragons and cards. Also, having spent many years communicating with her Dragon-type monsters, Kylie has come to an understanding of her dragons' growls and the noises they make, enabling her to understand them.
Dueling proficiency: Having participated in various minor dueling tournaments, along with going up against her brother and Jesse, Kylie has become a very skilled duelist, able to work quickly and plan with whatever she had on hand. As her deck primarily consists of Dragon-type, monsters Kylie has developed a strategy that can counter the cards that can disable her deck, such as "Dragon Capture Jar".
Extensive knowledge of ancient history: Because of the constant travels, and her staying mainly in the library before she got into dueling, Kylie is well knowledgeable in some countries' ancient history. She is well knowledgeable in the history of Ancient Egypt and Norway, focusing on those two countries.
Multilingualism: With her heritage, she is fluent in Norwegian, Canadian French, English, and can understands Egyptian hieroglyphics. Kylie is known for mixing her Norwegian in with her English, usually when something surprises her, or when someone annoys her.
Kylie uses a "Dracosmos", which are made of dragon-type monsters based off the Solar System and astronomical objects that rely on providing card advatange when summoned and/or banished. Her ace cards include "Blazar, the Shining Dracosmos", Inanis, Dracosmos of Nihility", and "Luna, Dracomsos of Dreams" and "Sol, Dracomos of Hope".

Jesse is Kylie's childhood best friend, who they met through their parents, Rayne and Devon who are childhood best friends. Despite constantly moving due to her parents' work, Kylie and Jesse remained in contact. Jesse is Kylie's go-to person when she doesn't want to talk to her brother or parents about something. He is always there for Kylie and her for Jesse. She calls him every day and just talks about random things, and since starting Duel Academy, she talks about her days.
Since she dyed her hair, people tend to mistake her for Jesse's sister (though they do consider each other as siblings so it wasn't too far). Before changing her hair color, people would think she was Jesse's girlfriend, considering how much time she spends with him and vice versa; both quickly dispel the thought and say they are best friends only.
Halley is the Spirit of Kylie's "Halley, Dracosmos of Transiency". He stays by Kylie's side a lot, always interested in the human species. Kylie is able to understand and often translate when others say to him so he can understand. Despite his small size, he is protective over Kylie.
Blake is Kylie's older brother by eight years. As children, Blake and Kylie had the normal "I don't want you to hang out with me and my friends" relationship. However, as their parents' jobs required them to travel, they got closer as they had no other children to hang/play with. As Blake got older, and got more into Duel Monsters, he noticed Kylie closing off from people. He began to get worried, especially when Kylie began to show signs of being antisocial. In a last ditch effort, Blake took her to a Duel Monsters Tournment that was being held in the city near them. To his surprise, it was enough to get her to change her ways.
Kylie has normal relationship with her father, Devon. Devon is protective over Kylie and does worry about her, especially during the time she didn't talk to other kids her age.
Devon was the one who gave Kylie her "Dracosmos" cards. While in the United States for a work conference and a guest speaker at some universities, Devon sensed the spirit of "Blazar, the Shining Dracosmos". Though he wasn't fully sure that it was Blazar, he could sense something was calling him, which led him to a local Duel Monsters Shop, where the "Dracosmos" cards were being held. He managed to buy the cards from the buyer and later gave them to Kylie as a birthday present. It was there that Devon was able to see that the feeling was a Spirit, the spirit of "Blazar, the Shining Dracosmos".

Similarly, at the start Kylie didn't even know her about father's cousin, Naomi. Given that Naomi was in her teenage years when Kylie was a child, that was a given.
Following Naomi's adventures with Yugi and Atem, she and her family took some time to visit Kylie's family in Norway. It was then that the two started to develop a bond. They kept in contact with Skyping and regularly planned videno calls. After Blake moved to Japan and Kylie would visit, the cousins would meet up to hang and whatnot.
