While she holds a neutral expression on her face 90% of the time, Naomi uses it to observe everything around her. She watches and waits, before doing anything. Though she has a neutral expression, that doesn't mean she can't use emotions, which she does. Like others, she too has emotions, it just takes her a little while to bring them out.
She is, however, fiercely protective over her friends and Duel Monster cards. The latter is mostly due with her connection to seeing Spirits, which she keeps a deep secret, even from her closest friends. It is noted, that she nearly threw herself at Seto after he beat Grandma Muto, and later saved his prized "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" card. She saw it's spirit crying out and reacted on instincT.

- Naomi is left-handed, though when she first began dueling she followed the rules for the mats.
- She later has a custom Duel Disk fitted for her right arm.

- When she becomes a professional duelist, rather than go by her real name, Naomi uses her mother's maiden name, Minamoto, in hopes to be able to still have a normal life outside of Duel Monsters.
- Like her cousin, Devon, Naomi prefers keeping her powers a secret, not wanting anyone to know about them. Only people she absolutely trusts knows.
Naomi is a teenage girl with a fair complexion and a slender aathletic physique. She has thick eyelashs that arch around bright purple eyes, with thin eyebrows. She has long and thick hair that is pimarily black in color, but turns a pale blonde the further down it goes. She has bangs that are angled to the side of her face, though sometimes they get in front of her eyes. Most often, Naomi leaves her hair out, but has occaionally put it up into a ponytail or side braid, which really depends on her mood. She is often questioned if the blonde is natural or added, which annoys the heck out of Naomi when it is indeed natural.
At school, Naomi wears the standard Domino High School uniform, though wears black leggins in place of the socks.
When not in uniform, Naomi generally wears casual, easy to move in clothing. One of her outfits consists of dark blue and white-lined jacket over a dark grey dress shirt, dark jeans, and dark brown boots. She had her deck case strapped around her waist with a black belt.
Though she prefers pants, Naomi does have a fenmine outfit, consisting of a pale, white dress shirt, a silver-colored skirt, black leggings, and short white boots. She has a black belt which she keeps her deck case on.
As she is left-handed, her Deck cases generally rest on her left side, and she later gains a KaibaCorp Duel Disk that sits on her right arm.

Her last name Reynolds is a patronymic surname meaning "son of Reynold", where the given name of the father, "Reynold", or "Reginald", was a Germanic name meaning "Powerful Ruler" (possibly an alteration of the Old French name Reinold). Her first name Naomi comes from 直 (nao) meaning "straight, direct" and 美 (mi) meaning "beautiful". Her second name Shiori comes from the Japanese 詩 (shi) meaning "poem" combined with 織 (ori) meaning "weave".
Naomi Reynolds is a student of Domino City High School and childhood friend of Yugi Muto. She is the only daughter and child of spiritual medium, Ryder Reynolds, and I.T. manager, Runa Minamoto-Reynolds.

Spirit perception: Naomi was born with the ability to see, hear, and be aware of spirits around her. This also allows her to see Duel Monster spirits.
Dueling proficiency: With her best friend's grandfather owning a card game store, Naomi got into the gae rather quickly. In the short amount of time, she's become quite the duelist, practically able to tackle anything that's thrown to her.
Multilingualism: Naomi is fluent in both Japanese, English, and Canadian French, knowing both her parents' native languages. She is know for adding Canadian French into her speech when something surprises her, or shocks her.
Naomi uses a "Cosmic-Eyes" Deck, which is composed of LIGHT Dragon and Spellcaster monsters, and focus on Summoning and supporting “Cosmic-Eyes Starlight Dragon” and its various forms. Her aces include "Cosmic-Eyes Starlight Dragon", "Cosmic-Eyes Starlight Sorceress", and "Cosmic-Eyes Trinity Star Dragon".

The exact relationship between Seto and Naomi is... confusing to say the lease. Considering Naomi is with Yugi 90% of the time, you would think he would dislike her. However, that isn't the case. Perhaps it's Naomi's wide-known skill in Dueling Tournaments, that he has some respect for her. Who knows.
Prior to Battle City, it is noted that Naomi and Seto's relationship had changed slightly, mostly on Mokuba's part. Their relationship change might have been the reason why Seto had Naomi's new KC Duel Disk to be customized for her right arm.
Naomi has a close relationship with her father. Early in her childhood, her mother was away a lot, which lead to Ryder and Naomi bonding more.
Ryder is the most aware of Naomi's adventures with Yugi and doesn't mind entirely. As long as she is not in serious danger, Ryder is alright. He also knows that Naomi can take care of herself.
Runa is Naomi's mother who is often away from home due to her job at KaibaCorp. Though her absenses does bother Naomi at times, she knows what her mother does is for the family. Any time Runa does have off, Naomi spends it with her mother.
At the start, Naomi wasn't that close to her couins's younger child, mostly due to Kylie being only four during Naomi's "adventures" and living in Norway. Following Atem's return to the Afterlife, Naomi and her family went to visit her cousin Devon and his family, officially meeting Kylie and Blake. During the next decade, Naomi would visit her cousin which had her getting to know Kylie even more. When Kylie would visit Blake in Domino City, Naomi and she would meet up and just catch up and hang with each other. This allowed them to form a rather close cousin-relationship.
When Yugi's deck goes on tour, Naomi is the one to who goes to Duel Academy, mostly due to Yugi having to take care of something at the time. Naomi used it as a way to see her cousin and see how she was doing at Duel Academy (mostly for Blake's sake on the latter). When Yugi's deck went missing, Naomi went with Kylie and her friends to find the thief. She then watched Jaden duel against Dimitri, and was mildly impressed with how the Slifer was doing against Yugi's decl.
