Siobhan Featherstone

Siobhan Featherstone grew up relatively uneventfully, being raised only by her kindly, upper-middle-class father after her mother passed away of natural causes.  The first major shift in her life came shortly after high school graduation, with the sudden, unexpected death of her dad.  Only after his passing did Siobhan discover that the person she saw as a loving father figure was actually once a part of the Irish mob.  While he wanted an honest life, he couldn't erase his past, and in his paranoia that the mob would eventually come for his family, he accrued a modest cache of money and weapons for such an occasion...which Siobhan thusly inherited.

Shocked by this revelation but not rejecting it, Siobhan prepared for the eventuality that she would have to answer to any mob debts left by her father.  Not only did she hone her body and mind, but she also decided to embrace her father's legacy and put his weapons to work as a contract killer.  Perhaps he wouldn't have wanted this...but exceptional personal circumstances call for exceptional measures, right?  While she was just getting the hang of her new, grisly life, one particularly sloppy job left her in a tussle with a bodyguard, resulting in an acid attack to her face that robbed her of her vision.

...Years later, she hasn't let that stop her.  Some plastic surgery and physical therapy and even a little jail time later, she's simply had to re-train herself for her new set of circumstances, focusing on sound and touch rather than sight.  During these years, she became aware of a strange, paranormal instinct welling up inside her, leading her to discover a whole world of superpowered folks and supernatural abilities that's been here in the city this whole time.  Somehow she finds herself sensing the weight of guilt on a person's soul, as if she were passing some divine judgment...but how can she compromise this power with her line of work, when she can now see if her mark is someone that truly "deserves" it or not?

Jeez, life is sure complicated.

Siobhan is a player character for City of Mist, a TTRPG about people of the city awakening to mythical powers and the identity conflicts therein.
