Name Asenath
Age 35 years
Length 12 ft / 3.7 m

A twelve foot long female sea creature resembling a horse from a distance. The largest size of this species has yet to be recorded. Lives along the horse latitudes of the sea, preferring warmth and calmer seas.

Some folk lore says they are the effigies of straw horses come to life, made by sailors who've tossed them overboard as part of a ritual called "dead horse". This ritual was to meant to symbolize a money debt paid.

  • Lays eggs in a ribbon-like casing.
  • Eats small fish and some coral.
  • Prefers to feed at dawn and dusk.

It is unknown how self-aware or sentient this creature is as it remains elusive despite its size. It is believed to be what spawned the lore of horses being thrown over by the Spaniards on long voyages.
