Profile

Physical:
Mortal form: First Life: A scrawny, somewhat underweight and delicate little boy covered in dirt. Though he is handsome his hair and skin is coated in a layer of filth due to his station. Once snow white hair is clumped in disarray of grey matting from mud and a dingy air about his countenance lingers like a shadow. His soft blue eyes give the impression of tireless nights of toiling in hard labour due to the puffy bags beneath. His hands are callused from his work but he always wears a friendly smile despite his fatigue and occasional dreariness. It wasn't until he met the Scorpion magistrate, Mitsudono, that he got washed of the grime. The magistrate was impressed by how well he cleaned up and his poise and so he sent him to become a geisha/taikomochi. There he was dressed up in gorgeous fabrics to entertain those willing to pay a hefty price for their services and he was made to act with beauty and dignity with the addition of quirks such as using a small bell or other such oddities. Due to the change in his station he now has longer hair and no longer seems tired like before, giving him bright and eager eyes. Second Life: A handsome young man with lean muscle and no signs of malnutrition. He wears the colours of white and blue like the Crane samurai clan he belongs to. He holds himself with dignity and honour that demands respect but holds a certain benevolence behind his sweet smile. His snow white hair and soft blue eyes are similar to his past life but longer and not fatigued, giving him an appearance much more akin to during his time as a taikomochi. He is beautiful, but strong and with a dreamy or clueless/airheaded aura surrounding him. His carefree demeanor sometimes gets the best of him making him appear childish despite his effort to impress his instructor...

Kirin form: Like the Mythical Kirin of China he is like a mixture of a dragon and a deer or horse. He has two (four when he grows up that branch around his head like the picture below) horns that are shaped like antlers at youth, but break off as he grows older to form new ones. His back is covered in scales that have a spiny back that spike out and are very hard for defense over top a layer of soft turquoise and white fur. They can be lowered to allow for a rider, however. All of the soft plush looking fur in his mane and on the heels of his hooves and down his tail are actually flames and there is also flames that wreath around his neck. Though they are always lit they do not scorch the rider Yubi chooses to allow on his back.

Deity form: He is covered in a multitude of colours and fine cloths reserved for those of high standing and littered with much ornamentation. His main colours are greens, violets, blues, pinks, and whites. His antlers being the highest point of his height gives him a full height of 6'0" as an adult, but as a child he stands in around 4'2". His tail is approximately 3'5" in length. As opposed to his mortal form he is very clean and beautiful.

Temper:
Benevolent, peaceful, sentimental, and selfless. Eccentric, single-minded, and highly naive. He lacks patience and he is quite stubborn. Generally he does as he is told (mostly to avoid getting beaten, as opposed to just downright obedience). He strongly values justice and honesty to the point of being quite blunt with others. His etiquette is a bit lacking because of his generally childish nature. He is an optimist and is very friendly to most. His loyalty knows no bounds as he would gladly risk his life for someone he cares about, even though he is easily deterred from such rash decisions. It is easy to scare or embarrass him. He is also easily excitable and gets very enthusiastic.

Influential Events:

First Life: The young kirin was sent to teach a certain samurai magistrate a lesson of humility. The little kirin was very excited about having his first duty to serve Lady Shinjo. Due to his enthusiasm he did not wait to hear the details about his task and prepared immediately after he was told to wait one day for all the information...

Unfortunately he was not certain as to how he should make his mortal form. However due to his feelings that humans are weak creatures he made himself accordingly and underestimated mortal strength. When he was planning his descent he had come in the form of a very young merchant boy with a few things to peddle and dressed in some comfortable enough clothes.

When he appeared on Earth he was lost because he had no idea where this person lived or who this person was either. He asked for assistance from a mortal man who promptly attacked him for his goods and clothing. With his items stolen he was left to die in the filth of mud, manure, and his own blood in the rice fields clothed in nothing more than a potato sack and a sash for a couple of days.

Finally he regained consciousness and began to roam the nearby area. He woke up hungry and his head throbbing, his body sore and weary after the assault. He did not know these pains before and so confused and without any memory of what had happened to him he set out for the nearest village.

There he found a kind old man that fed him what little leftover rice he had. The young kirin learned of his location before he set out for the next town. In the youth's daze when he got there he accidentally ran into a samurai whose disgust was enough to injure him and the kirin retreated to an alley. The pain of being hit again caused him to cry and he tried to recollect himself there. As he did so he was attacked by a few peasants that threatened to beat him if he did not hand over what little he had which consisted of a burlap sack, a sash, and the little bamboo slab he had gotten from the old man who fed him rice.

As he was unwrapping the sash that held his gunny sack around him, trying to wipe away the tears as he did so the sound of a CRACK and someone going down startled him and the other peasants who left the scene. He found that the magistrate he had been sent to teach humility (Though he does not know it), had saved him. He was astonished that the samurai did not stop beating the person until he appeared to be dead. The boy immediately tried to stop him and the two parted ways after the young kirin could not recall the bandits who had attacked him.

The eta checked to see if the man was still alive and found a pulse. He began to drag the man out to find a doctor but he was accused of being a thief by group of three samurai that happened to see him. He was told to drop the body and did so without hesitation and explained his situation to the men.

After the samurai learned that he had been attacked by the man who had tried to rob him they slapped a knife in his hand and told him "You should finish the job.". The noble kirin refused, saying "I cannot sully my hands of that man's blood." And so one of the three samurai told him to take the man's clothes after claiming them for himself and forcing the youth to take it. They left him the knife which he decided to carefully tuck away.

He then began to wander the streets again trying hard to remember what had happened to him. The details finally began to come back to him of when he had been attacked by the ronin samurai. He remembered a name and being savagely beat and left for dead, but he did not remember his name or any other details about himself. He decided that the name was important because it belonged to what seemed like the leader of the ten men who had assaulted him. He went to go find the magistrate to tell him the details since the person had seemed interested in those details.

The little kirin did not know that he would be ignored when he asked to know where the person was. He was covered in blood from the clothes that he had gotten from the samurai, causing the peasants to murmur amongst each other and pretend he didn't even exist. Shunned, the young eta turned and left but was stopped by an elder gentleman of the same caste who explained his situation to him. He was observant enough to even know that the youth had amnesia and told him where to find the magistrate shortly after taking care of him a little. After thanking the man the enthusiastic youth went on his way to the magistrate's estate where he had to get through the guard who only chuckled at his attempts to get in until he mentioned bandits. A complete change of heart and the youth was admitted inside to the outer most parlor to speak to the magistrate.

The kirin told what he remembered of the man, but it was only a name. He did not remember the man's features clearly enough at the time but the young eta did not want to part ways so quickly and he felt obligated to assist the samurai for saving him. He offered his servitude as it was his only form of payment he had available. He was given the name "Zhuli" because he could not remember his own name, and has since then been in service as an eta attendant for the magistrate since.
