Mr Hicks is a very difficult cat to disturb, in his ten years of his career he has seen everything from complete mutilation to heavily decomposed bodies beyond recognition. Nothing really phases Jett anymore. He could go into detail with exactly what he's seen in his time but it wouldn't be appropriate outside of the workplace. It's his job to find the stories that the body's hide, unveiling the nature of their death to determine if foul play was involved or if it was simply just an act of nature. Some, of course, are more obvious than others. His main forte are crime scenes. He greatly dislikes working with law enforcement as he believes they are prone to messing with the crime scenes both intentionally or unintentionally in order to convict who they want to lock up. They do nothing but get in the way in breathe down your neck, what use can they be if the person's already dead. Regardless, he'll bite his tongue and do what he's paid to do. On the other hand there's the very rare occasion that some very important citizens of Catastrocity will call upon him for private incidents, this can range from crime families to ████. He's happy to work for them for a small fee, even willing to keep matters off the books.

Jett is a very bold, stubborn and judgemental man, not afraid to speak his mind around the people he works with and loudly complain about anything that's currently ticking him off. He'll often talk out loud as he does his job, even seeming to talk to the corpses he works with, he states that it helps him focus and figure out any problems he's facing much like a coder and their rubber duck. Jett is also the only carnivore that works in his department and faces quite a bit of flack from people with higher authority than him, while the people that worked directly with him respect him outsiders tend to hide their unease with jokes, if he has to hear one more time how working with bodies must make him hungry he might just see if they'd be willing to offer their own. Jett will often work overtime and stay very late into the night picking apart all the little details he can, he's a perfectionist and can't leave work half finished. He lives off of coffee and is a huge fan of parfaits, when he is forced to leave work he can often be found around cafes. Jett can’t complain about his life however lately he has noticed a rise in feral bodies coming into the morgue.

Trivia

• Jett drives an old lemon, it has a habit of breaking down and is clearly on its last legs but he refuses to upgrade to a better car.
• He hates the sensation of cold drinks and always prefers to drink something warm.
• He lost his sense of smell after a car accident, so taste isn't really a thing for him but he does prefer some textures over others. Lacking the ability to smell rotting corpses is really beneficial in his area of work.
• He enjoys doing origami when work is slow.
• He is also a big fan of mobile games and often spends breaks toiling away at them.
