Nyaomi (Human)

"There’s no bringing it back. Let sleeping dogs lie, and move on."

Once the goddess of nature, now turned mortal after the collapse of her pantheon. She has adjusted to the unwilling loss of her divinity better than Ruii or Theo, but still mourns the loss of their previous home and guardian. As a human, Nyaomi lives a rather solitary life, though this out of personal preference rather than ostracization; she simply likes her peace and quiet. She has zero desire to get tangled up in the conflict between the other former goddesses, and has found purpose in her simple gardening and blogging. Even as a mortal, though, the natural world still draws her in as it did when she lived on the astral plane. Flora and fauna, wolves especially, seem to recognize a part of her as being connected with them.

Summarized, her personality is one of a content loner. Loneliness is not one of Nyaomi’s deep struggles, and she avoids trying to push herself to be outgoing or a people person. The main social interaction she has outside of her few close friends are the comments on her food blog. This isn’t a matter of trust issues or repressed avoidance, either, as Nyaomi is quite happy to have her smaller group of loved ones even if most of them fail to get along. In her mind, trying to force these relations to be repaired is a pointless and painful task best left unpursued. If it happens, it happens-if it doesn’t, then let it be. Nyaomi can best be described as a river: she lives at her own flow of time, and like currents can be both tranquil yet sharp. Though she is typically very calm and distant, if pushed, Nyaomi can be very fierce indeed. This is especially true for people she cares about. If she sees them doing something hurtful to themself or others, she’s not afraid to give it to them straight. Subtleness is not her thing. For better or worse, Nyaomi’s mind is direct and pulls very few punches, but she tries not to cause hurt purely for the sake of causing hurt. Cruelty is not her goal, only a desire to protect and help.
