Stormclan always had a reputation of being tough, not openly antagonistic but ready to retaliate if attacked. So why the previous leader chose Hazelstar, a seemingly unassuming pushover, for his deputy, no one quite knew. Rumors circulate, calling them too quiet and withdrawn to protest or fight back, too meek and unassuming.

None of these rumors ever gain any foothold in Stormclan itself.

Competent, calculating, quiet but observant, very little flies past Hazelstar in the grand scheme of things. They maintain a cautious neutrality, a veneer of incompetence at times, especially when they want to see what someone who thinks them unsuspecting will try to get away with.
