DESCRIPTION

Cash is a pretty well built man, having a triangular body shape with very broad shoulders but thinner hips - thus being quite strong. His pelt is rough and wiry though not an unpleaseant touch, his fur short, consisting of browns and creams with darker stripes, and pink flecks around his cheeks, shoulders and thighs. Perhaps his most noticable features though consist of a pink mane and slicked mohawk, alongisde his piebald python tail. He also bears characteristics like hackles along his back, paws that grow into a point instead of claws, bird-like grasps on his feet, and long stiffened ears that cannot bend.

Cash has both of his ears stretched into 0G sized gauges, and optional snake bites just behind his scruffy beard. His facial hair other than that is stubble coating his lip and jawline, thick sideburns, and an undercut besides his hair, alongside plenty of whiskers protruding from his eyebrows, muzzle and moles on either side of his face. His teeth are large - resembling mostly that of a dingo's - enough that his canines stick out into snaggle teeth. Also notably, Cash has a crooked snout after having it broken many times, and a long reptilian tongue. His right eyebrow is scarred iconically, but he also has plenty of much smaller scars coating his body - most predominantly his knuckles.

PERSONALITY

Cash is generally an optimistic person, following closely to the movie troupe “dog person”’s behaviour. Though more importantly, he’s a huge college jock/frat boy. He’s easily excitable, highly affectionate, incredibly loyal and amazingly stupid. He struggles to stay focused during serious moments because of his humorous behaviour, and even more so difficult to focus on more than one thing at once usually due to his hyperactive mannerisms. Despite this all, Cash can have his private down moments, suffering from closeted depression. During it, he may appear unapproachable, lazy and very quick to anger given the proper push.

Cash is notoriously known for being a jokester; cracking a laugh out of anyone from almost anything. He himself bears a highly recognisable, booming laugh often following his own humour. He’s overly laidback, and always manages to find some kind of fun in even the most boring of situations. Despite his build, his expressions and crooked, toothy smile builds a character of comfort, and often has even strangers conform in him. Too is he fairly known for being incredibly flirtatious, a huge sappy romantic, and a self-proclaimed pick-up master. He loves making out drunk on the bonnets of cars, going for midnight beach walks, and cuddling in bed with a partner (or one night stand). Cash loves to lend a helping hand – usually regarding his strength or height – even though sometimes he may need reminders on what to actually do. He’s deathly loyal to the people he loves and trusts, and avid extroverted party goer, often a showoff or egotist; but overall a kind, trying-to-be-gentle soul.

backstory

BACKSTORY

INFANCY
Cash was an unplanned surprise born accidentally into a very large – but unconnected – family. Upon his birth, his Australian father (Chance) upped and left both him and his mother (_) after moving them from Italy to Australia; the result of becoming distant much beforehand because of his work, but also at the responsibility of a child being too great. This caused Cash’s mother to become negligent from childbirth, dissociating with him and dumping the responsibility onto a hired nanny with the aid of the money his father continued to pay even after he left.

CHILDHOOD
Cash’s neglect continued into his childhood, even after his first brother was born (_) – and a couple years after, his first sister (_). He didn’t create much of a bond with them at first, having being used to being the only child (and only responsibility) up until he was 6 years old, but soon he found himself becoming protective over them, and creating a tight bond with his brother in particular. Despite his mother’s inattention to them all, Cash’s personality quickly developed into that of outgoing extrovert even at childhood. He was a loud kid, but resilient. Unfortunately however, the older Cash became, the more his mother’s negligence shifted into physical abuse, and he was taught to resolve his problems with his fists rather than his words.

ADOLESCENCE
Cash’s rebellious phase was quick to kick in almost the very second he became a teenager, believing that what he wanted to do was deserved by others. His social life flourished during this time too however, and he fit in perfect with the jocks of his high school; joining the football team and quickly climbing to star player. He was highly regarded to and praised in his school; a popular, sporty, tall, strong and rather good looking young man, but his ego developed to become easily inflated through all this praise and attention. Frequently he would both start fights on his own and joined in on beating up other kids following his friends, alongside starting to smoke and drink illegally with them, creating quite the reputation for himself in high school. His popularity as star of the football team paired with his good looks allowed him to be flippant with girlfriends; more than often finding himself being chased after, dating, and then breaking hearts – he found it extremely difficult to stay in one relationship for a long period of time.

Cash’s behaviour wasn’t just restricted to his high school. It wasn’t rare for him and his friends to wag classes (or even entire days sometimes) to hang out on the beach, or cause havoc somewhere else. Too his behaviour leaked into his home life, where he would constantly get into fights with his mother. He started developing depression which he closeted ignorantly, only further worsening his rebellious nature and anger issues. Soon his mother grew tired of him, and for the first time since his birth, Cash’s father re-entered his life. He had barely any time to recuperate before he was handed off to his father, and even less time to get to know him before he was informed he would be moving to America for work – and thus, had to bring Cash with him.

Cash discovered he enjoyed the company of his father’s much more than his mother’s even if their relationship wasn’t strong, being laid back on his discipline but much more expecting of Cash’s future. However, Cash didn’t enjoy the new American school he was put into, quickly finding out that their system was much more different than the one he knew so well in Australia. He fell from being the highest socialite, football star and every girl’s high school crush down to an outcast about everything – even the smallest things; his accent alone would create distance between him and everyone else. Though it was the second last year of his school life, it was easily the worst, and he was completely alone for the first time in his life. A quarter through the school year however, Cash finally fell in with another student – an outcast like himself. At first, he was hesitant, believing he deserved better than a loner over his previous status in Australia, but given proper lessons he became quick to realise his status in the other world no longer mattered. Wyn was Cash’s first friend he felt truly liked him for who he was as a person, not socially, and it was only a matter of time before the two stuck together like glue. Slowly, Wyn started teaching Cash compassion over using his fists, his grades rose, and – inevitably – Cash started developing feelings for his best friend. This time it was different than his old high school flings, both in what he was inherently feeling and how it was the first time he had those kinds of feelings for another boy. It was confusing for Cash, and often times he found himself trying to repress it to little success, but it hindered him from ever coming out about it.

As the year wrapped up, Cash didn’t want to return back to Australia. He didn’t want to leave Wyn behind and return back to his old friends, but he had no choice with his father. The two said their final goodbyes, and despite all his effort, Cash was unable to muster up the courage to come out to his friend. He returned back to Australia and his old school regretful for the rest of his schooling life, and finally realised how toxic his friends were. He broke ties with them, though remained top dog in his school hierarchy. Instead, he invested time in seriously cracking into schoolwork, football and stepping into fights against those his old friends bullied. Sometimes it would result in him getting involved, though he always felt it was for a better cause. Cash retained his dominant complex, though this time round he became a stronger leader, and even stronger personality.

EARLY ADULTHOOD
Cash’s last-minute crack into schoolwork and dedication to his game finally paid off when he graduated; being offered a scholarship in sports and quickly moved out of his abusive household to head off to university. He worked two jobs on top of it, but slowly managed to start building up a stable life for himself. The work load took a toll on his depression however, and Cash’s memory dwindled. Though he still remained to grow in charisma and approachability, he soon enough forgot most of his experiences with Wyn, but never the way he felt around him. This feeling grew into a hole in his heart that he began filling with frequent visits to clubs or bars with his college friends, and sparking random intimate flings often, experimenting more with people that weren't just girls. Even though he remained responsible enough, he became sex obsessed; and heavily relied on the one-night encounters he had to feel important. He began to find solace in being drunk or high once again, even if it was much more controlled than his younger years.

Cash’s common bar visits lead him to becoming friendly with the manager of his most frequented one, and was offered a bouncing job that would pay more than both his previous works due to his tall, muscular build. Happily, he accepted, and his charm didn’t take long to take effect on the attendees.

Eventually, his football game took him back to America where he and his team was given leeway to explore the States under regulation. This lead him on an aimless quest to further his life experiences (or rather, try every American booze he could) which eventually lead him to a store practically in the middle of nowhere. The cashier’s face sparked a recognition which Cash queried, and became ecstatic to know it was his high school crush. Cash dwindled back until Wyn’s shift was over with idle over the counter chatter, and since his confidence had boosted substantially over the years this time around he found it more than easy to ask him out. The regret Cash felt back in high school dissipated as he accepted, and the two spent as much time together as possible as long as Cash remained in America for his games. Even when Cash returned home, the two retained a tight long distance relationship, and continued to see each other in person twice a year.

ADULTHOOD
Cash’s depression started becoming more handleable the longer he and Wyn remained boyfriends, and while he still thoroughly enjoyed his booze and smokes, he broke out of his addiction with them. It wasn’t long before the opportunity for Wyn to move over to Australia arose after 3 years of long distance, and Cash helped him without hesitation. Now, Cash is at his peak performance in every aspect of his life living with Wyn; he’s reached a good balance in his life, working towards being a professional football player while still retaining his star player status, has made plenty of healthy friends and is beginning to find better coping mechanisms for his problems.
