Wander

Wander is not the kind of pony to conform to labels, they enjoy their freedom. Things like "ponies can't wear cool capes all the time" and "a grown unicorn should know magic" are just suggestions.

Wander isn't entirely sure where they came from, and to be fair, no one else is either. Their earliest memories are of being lost on the streets of Cheermill City and being taken in by a pony named Patchwork, who raised them. Wanting more for their ward, Wander was sent to a premier magic academy after every other institute, tutor, and scholar failed to spark the magic in Wander. Being in an entirely new country to go to the academy, Wander relied on their roommate, Tide Turner, to show them around. 

At academy, Wander was quick to make friends with another student, Jett. Tradition and lore was put on a pedestal throughout Wander's life, so when they asked for a pen and Jett gave them one of her feathers, Wander swore loyalty over such a gift. Jett didn't get it, but appreciated the sentiment, and helper in a mystery she was investigating.
