Sodalite, or Soda, lived in Bellshine City her whole life, even though the city was hardly more than a village at the time of her birth. She and her twin sister, Plumluck, were, in fact, the first fillies born in the new pony country of Farrier. 

Raising two fillies in a booming city is tiring, and though Soda always wanted a younger sibling, her parents were far from wanting another themselves. Soda and Plumluck got into a lot of trouble, but she never looked for it herself. Most of the plots her sister got her into Soda would be oblivious to what they were really doing. Also always ready to aid Plumluck in her schemes was a unicorn a little older than they were, Twilight Tide, who came to the city for the elite magic school. 

On one great escape with a map of Farrier stolen from the local cartographer, the three had to fly along the roof tops. The sun was setting and casting beautiful shades of pink and orange. When they landed, her cutie mark had appeared. 

Once they had completed their schooling and the city had fully earned that title, under Plumluck’s suggestion they moved into their own apartment with Twilight Tide. Soda took up a job as a weather pony while Plumluck become a potter. A big perk of the new apartments was their neighbors, Soda hit it off immediately with Moonpie and was glad to help them navigate the city. 

When Moonpie was late for their afternoon walk, Soda got worried and found them in their apartment talking about secret Crystal Caves and powerful princesses, she couldn’t make heads or tails of it. Their afternoon walk would just have to stretch a little long as she packed her own bag, she wouldn’t let Moonpie go all the way to the Capital without her.
