This great lung appears fragmented, but is in fact whole. His body intersects many unseen doorways in space. As he moves from one to the other, his scales change in colour. And although he can weave himself through any of them - or all of them - his scroll cannot pass through a single portal. It is stuck in some seamless void beyond reality, and it prevents Adagio from properly entering any reality.
The scroll on his tail is infinite. According to different legends, it contains:
- an entire world, which he either escaped from or rules over
- a part of the sky that had to be sealed away to trap an evil spirit
- instructions in a forbidden practice
- Adagio himself
Each legend is technically correct, but none show the full picture.
