02 — Personality
Talia is an optimistic and fun-loving squid! She never breaks promises and admires her friends a great deal. Though she is very smart, and quite the turf speed demon, she can never live up to her own standards and can get frustrated with this very easily. This can cause her to fluctuate between never taking any breaks, and being a total slacker.
From an outside perspective, it probably seems like she never stops or slows down, always zooming from obligation to obligation. What an outside perspective wouldn't know, is that she will sometimes nap for entire days just because she doesn't feel like studying! Zale can attest to her lazy bursts firsthand.
You'd probably expect her to be quite the open book, but very few actually hear what's truly on her mind! She puts on a smile even when she shouldn't, never letting the outside world know when she's hurting. That said, she will let this facade drop and express her true feelings around those close to her.

03 — Background
Talia's life is pretty standard, she goes to school, visits her friend Zale for tea whenever she can, and takes plenty of naps! Well, I suppose one could say her life has been odd ever since Velvet came to Zale's shop. Taking in a stray inkling, who could only speak Octolish? It was certainly quite the turn of events.
Ever since the two of them met Velvet, they took her under their wing and taught her to speak Inklish. This of course, led to them becoming friends! After months of practice, things were looking pretty good for Velvet, but she was getting harder and harder to keep track of. She really had a tendency to wander! Boy, did nobody expect her to wander straight into an Octoling in need of help! Talia's shock was immeasurable when she ran into the shop, holding a sickly Octoling by the wrist. As her story was translated, one thing became clear.. The Inklish classes would gain another student.
With the friend group expanding to four, it didn't shock Talia one bit when Zale asked if they could form a turf war team! She knew how much her friend had always wanted to play turf, and it seemed like this would finally be an opportunity. While Lottie and Velvet seemed apprehensive, they couldn't say no after how vehemently Talia was on board! Sure, it was gonna be extra effort to supply Zale with ink, but what are friends for? What kind of friend would Talia be if she didn't support her?
Despite the challenges they faced, their team managed to hold their own! Though, as for Talia's grades.. they did take a bit of a hit.

05 — Relationships

Zale and Talia met way back when Tali was just a little squishy squid baby! Their parents are close friends and work together on business endeavors. Though even without that mutual connection, the two get along swimmingly! Zale is trusted with all of Talia's thoughts and feelings, and rightfully so. The two always have each other's backs.
"Zale is the one person I can tell anything to! She's heard all about my crushes, my feelings, my.. thoughts on going to school.. I can seriously just be myself around her, and she's always cool with it. That's.. not something I can say about a lot of people. If she ever needs me, I'm right there beside her."

Talia considers Velvet to be a very nice friend. The two share a passion for sweets, and often stop at cake shops together. They currently live together in Tali's apartment, Though they each have their own living space! The girls need their privacy sometimes, especially when Talia is studying (..Or sleeping.)
"Aw, Velvet? She's the best! She's always so excited to learn, or share parts of her own culture with me! I'd love to learn Octolish from her sometime, but that's.. gonna have to wait until after my finals."

Talia finds Lottie very fascinating, if not a bit intimidating. Despite this, Talia also greatly values her friendship, and wants nothing more than to get to know her better.
"Oh goodness, there's still so much to learn about Lottie! What was it like in the octarian army? What does sanitized ink feel like? Has she built up an immunity? Gosh, I'm so curious! I hope we can chat about it sometime.. Huh? You'll go get her for me? Oh, no! no no!! That's okay! I'll.. ask her eventually, on my own! eheh.."
