Axel Elwood

BIO

Axel Elwood is Ceri's brother and a skilled chemist, living in the Drifters' Refuge with the other Bloodhearts. Though he never worked in the Titanim labs, he used to live in Titanim and met Isamu at a previous job, with the two being close friends from nearly the beginning. Axel stopped hearing from him after he got hired by the Titanim labs, which was, of course, concerning for him, but he never ended up looking into it. It wasn't until he finally got back into contact with Isamu a few years later that he finally found out what'd been happening all those years- and got handed a pair of samples of the Xenon Virus, with the hopes that he'd be able to help perfect them. He never did manage to complete the Virus for its intended purpose, but he hung onto those two samples, and they ended up coming in handy after Ceri died to a robotic malfunction. His own death happened in a lab accident, due to chemical poisoning and a severe burn on his arm.

He is infected with the Lab-A strain of Xenon Virus, which slightly disrupts his (already rather...erratic) mental processes, leaving him friendly and energetic...and maybe just a little bit loopy. Being the one who revived Ceri after her death in the hospital, he still kicks himself for not regularly monitoring his lab equipment to make sure it was still working normally, but still deeply loves Ceri and would never do anything to deliberately harm her.

His blood is mildly acidic, and his skin is quite weak, leading to his skin breaking easily and him bleeding for longer than most zombies. Despite this, he still heals quite quickly. Like any Xenon Zombie, his sense of pain is also greatly dulled, leading to him not feeling nearly as much pain when he hurts himself as a more "living" person would. Due to this, he no longer cares about putting himself in any risk of physical harm, declaring "it'll just grow back later, no big deal".
