He sort of just figures he's straight? The only intense, passionate feelings he has ever had are for other men, but he tends to assume that men and women being together are the natural, default way of things.

Ame takes the form of a shorter-than-average, blonde-haired man in clothing that might look a little less out of place if it were 600 or so years ago. His hair always hides his eyes, though, because there is something strange about his eyes. They are constantly turning in circles in his head, in many ways making him functionally blind, and he takes eye contact very seriously, seemingly treating it as an incredibly intimate gesture that is not intended for acquaintances or even most friends.

He generally comes off to people as a peaceful and solitary sort of man who doesn't get involved in other people's business, and doesn't feel joy or pain too strongly. He stands in the shadow of his friendlier and louder best friend, Mr. A, it seems.

He is also conservative in terms of intimacy, to the point of thinking it would be indecent of him to show his eyes to other people. He's found it in him over the centuries not to judge modern society for finding eye contact completely commonplace, though. Admittedly, he feels a little left-behind by the way society has progressed and become more open and liberal than it once was - particularly western culture.

There is a side of his personality he is much less comfortable with, though, and it is his tendency to get wrapped up in conflicts much too big for him. This is what led him to becoming so deeply entrenched in his personal investigation of a certain Mr. Tom Barnaby, the biology teacher who teaches at the very same high school Mr. A teaches home economics, and the strange ease with which he gains all sorts of real, human skeletal remains and examples to show his classes.

Indeed, he has been known by close friends to overexert himself and take on much more than he can handle by himself. Ame is a worrying fellow to be friends with, especially when he's in the middle of pursuing someone he considers a villain and a target. He usually punches up, which can be very dangerous for someone like him.
