The Hero of Ferelden's exact date of birth is impossible to place exactly on the Adrastian calendar as the Dalish use their own lunar-based one. Consensus places it during first week of Guardian. The Hero was known to be a private man; as such, little is known about his personal life. Accounts of those who knew him build the image of a quiet, capable man not easily swayed by emotion. However, other accounts paint an entirely different picture. One of a man who was "unnerving" and "eerie" in his ability to read others, and one who made decisions based solely on his first reaction to what occurred.

All personal and court records of the time agree that Terron was curious by nature. Many anecdotes and some surviving transcripts (rudimentary as the early ones of the late first millennium are) reference the many questions he would ask. Also confirmed through otherwise opposing accounts is his loyalty. Unsurprising, perhaps, to those who have heard tales of the Fifth Blight and the rebuilding of Ferelden that came after. Besides the life-long friendship that existed between the Hero and King Alistair Theirin I are the multiple documented marriages (and many undocumented ones, as is the popular conjecture) between Terron and his husband, Zevran.

Dalish clans likely have their own stories of the Hero of Ferelden, but those have not been shared with literary circles.
