About

Keiichi was raised by his father and his two uncles since he could remember. His father was always strict with his upbringing but to make sure he wasn't bored or doing anything that might be considering "time wasting". His father disliked the idea of being idle and always had something for Keiichi to do; chopping wood, training, reading, playing games, and whatever else that could keep him busy when he was awake. Most of the things Keiichi did in his youth and growing up as a young shinobi was either training, studying for school, or playing strategy games to keep his mind busy. He grew up around fraternal figures like his father and his uncles, all of which he looks up to and sees as role models. He often asked about his mother and any other relatives but he didn't learn until after the Great Purge that his mother and some of her family members had died. He didn't pursue his father on anything relating to his mother but if he has any relatives on his mother side, he doesn't know about them.

Overall, he doesn't remember much of the previous Yukikage from his youth. All he does remember is that his father had a rather ill-mannered grudge against what occurred during the Great Purge and that he and his uncles often prayed or hoped that their village could get through what happened and was happening at that time. Keiichi did however have a couple of cousins he grew up with and they felt nothing short of being like brothers to him. Seeing as both his uncles were hunter-nin, Keiichi got to spend a lot of time with his cousins. They fueled his germophobia and perfectionism more or less, seeing as they were a few years younger than him and they lost their mothers too -- for another reason Keiichi avoided to ask learning, feeling it might've been too painful or something -- they were always messing around with his things. Hiding books, moving ink bottles, drawing on his scrolls, getting his clothes dirty, it was always something with his cousins. However, despite the chaos, he does love his cousins and would do anything to protect them.

Before Prince Fubuki's return to Kosetsumura, Keiichi studied hard to become a shinobi for his village. He was often seen hunting and finding food and materials for his family, trading away whatever he didn't need with the villagers. He wanted to become a hunter-nin like his uncles but his father forbade it, too worried that his son might get himself in a difficult situation. So Keiichi didn't pursue the dream but was disappointed to hear that one of his uncles died during a mission in the Land of Canyons in 1260. Sometime later, one of Keiichi's cousins was seriously injured however he survived but had to retire. His cousin got caught up in the crossfire between the Ihaigakure shinobi and his teammates they were fighting and almost lost his eye and a limb. Albeit he was injured, Keiichi was glad he didn't lose another family member.

In 1263, Keiichi was upset that his home was destroyed. Glad his family was all in once piece, but his home was gone. Upon the Yukikage's words, Keiichi joined his kin in their travel to Torogakure. The closer they got to the village, the more curious and nauseated he became. Not liking the idea of living in such a warm area, he grew accustomed to it and helped with the construction efforts. The destruction of his village fueled his need to help the remnants of his village. To do whatever he could to make sure Kosetsumura could rise again.

Today, Keiichi is still alive and willing to help out his fellow villagers, those that survived at least. He lives with his father, uncle, and his cousins and looks to the Yukikage for inspiration to do what he must, whatever it may be.

Personality

Keiichi is a perfectionist, slight germaphobe, and a grump. He's usually upset about something, either trivial like the weather or having some sort of grudge against whoever may have rubbed him the wrong way. It doesn't take much to ruffle his feathers but once they're ruffled, then he's usually in a bad mood most of the day. He's a slight germaphobe but only when it concerns having dirt or touching people with his hands. He doesn't like to have dirt on his clothes, or anything that might make his clothes dirty in any manner nor does he like touching people's hands without gloves or something. The feeling of other people's hands just gives him an unsettling feeling.

He's quick to anger and has a habit of being rude to everyone... unless you're from his village but even then, he's still complicated and grumpy. Aside from his ill-mannered attitude, Keiichi does show a soft side but he's subtle about it and shows it with whoever he feels has earned his respect. He prefers to keep to himself or those he considers to be his friends.

He's very into calligraphy and also very into keeping up with his training. He doesn't like to waste time or have his own time wasted on childish matters and tends to avoid people that do so. He doesn't like people who tend to be more goofy or aloof instead of serious. He sees the point in wanting to cheer others up or doing something to get a laugh, he just sees it as a waste of time. He's a very serious kid who just doesn't like his time wasted, basically.

Relationships

Hashimoto Ichirou [ Father ]

Keiichi's father, mentor, and leader of the Hashimoto Tribe. Ichirou participated in the Great Purge but was remorseful about what happened. After the death of his wife, he relocated his efforts into his son's upbringing. Focusing on teach Keiichi everything he needed to know and what was expected of him. Both as a Kōsetsumura shinobi and the heir of their tribe. Keiichi doesn't remember a time when he couldn't depend on his father for anything. He taught him how to hunt, fight, and look after himself. His father is a source of motivation for Keiichi to do better. An aspiration to be a good Hunter Nin and to one day surpass him. Whenever Keiichi has a question about his mother, his father has always answered it. Never really suggesting anything untoward about her and sounds remorseful about her death. Keiichi wants to have that relationship with someone, to continually care for his partner in that manner.

Hashimoto Rikuto [ Fraternal Uncle ]

One of Keiichi's uncles, a prolific hunter within the Hashimoto Tribe and a weapon collector. Rikuto has always been the more serious out his three brothers. Teaching his son and nephews how to hunt and look after themselves. He was particular about the boys being able to feed themselves whenever the three older Shinobi were off on missions. When Keiichi asked Rikuto about any weaponry from Kōsetsumura, he helped his nephew create a stone crossbow. Even going as far as making a couple of backups just in case the first one broke. Rikuto has several stone made weaponry originating from Kōsetsumura and does his best to make sure they're all properly looked after. Hoping to one day, bestow his collection until his son or nephews.

Hashimoto Matsuta [ Fraternal Uncle | Deceased ]

Keiichi's recently deceased uncle, a caretaker to the Hashimoto Tribe and a medical shinobi. Matsuta was a happy soul within the Hashimoto Tribe and one of the few medics as well. Being related to Ichirou, he had more pull in the overall well-being of the tribe. He was vital in trying to patch up the members caught up in the Great Purge, but doesn't really talk about it. He instead focused on teaching his son and nephews to be more open about looking after one another. He tried to instill a sense of responsibility to his Tribe in Keiichi and did to an extent. He taught him that leaders don't make easy decisions and told his nephew all about what his father did for their tribe. After his passing, all three boys were hit hard but tried to keep up an upbeat view on things. Keiichi started to take his duties as the heir to his Tribe more seriously than he had previously. He hopes to make his uncle proud, and his tribe by extension.

Hashimoto Takahiro [ Cousin | Confidant ]

Takahiro is Keiichi's cousin and one of his closest confidants. Takahiro has always been the better hunter between him and his cousins. He had an older brother that died during the Great Purge as one of the casualties endured by the Hashimoto Tribe. His father, Rikuto, taught him everything about being Keiichi's future counsel as the heir to the tribe. So he took his training seriously and rarely fell behind his cousins. He felt the responsibility he owed his tribe and readied himself for whatever had to be done. Takahiro and Keiichi often challenge each other to hunts -- who can catch the most or do so more efficiently. Which after moving to Tōrōgakure, made it a little more difficult. Instead, they changed their hunt game to comparing their weapon collections. When Keiichi obtained his stone crossbow, Takahiro looked into his father's collection in case Keiichi wanted more weapons to choose from. The pair are often seen looking through Tōrōgakure weapon stores and admiring them. Takahiro has taken a fascination towards the kusagrigama as of late and hopes to try to master it.

Hashimoto Yamato [ Cousin | Tribe Medic ]

Yamato is Keiichi's cousin, former medic, and general happy soul of his tribe. His whole life, he was used to the idea that he had to do anything to help his tribe and Keiichi. Compared to his cousins, he's the cheerful one between them. Always upbeat and positive. He is the oldest between them by a couple years and knows how much the Hashimoto Tribe suffered throwing their support to the Yukikage's family during the Great Purge. He, like his father, tried to keep his family uplifted through a cherry demeanor. Something that has gone away in recent years after the death of his father. Yamato felt uncertain about being a Shinobi and retired, opting to focus more on healing people than hurting them. Even within the remnants of his village, Yamato will do whatever he can to help people through whatever pain they have. He may not be a good hunter or fighter, but he knows his duty to keep his people safe and tries to express that onto his cousin. Knowing whatever decisions Keiichi will make, will be thought out and considered.

Iwami Gakuto [ Childhood Friend | Best Friend | Teammate ]

They've know each other since they were kids and got to know each other more after they became teammates. Much like his relationship with Heisuke, Keiichi spent a lot of time with both his teammates. Finding common ground to bond over, cheering and pushing each other to do better in their Chuunin Exams, and so on. During a recent Jounin Exam in Tōrōgakure, they had the chance to team up and took their loss seriously. Keiichi blames himself for handicapping their victory by unknowningly attacking Gakuto, but they both vowed to do better in the next exam. Both are similar in nature and strive to do whatever they can to help their people.

Touhara Heisuke [ Childhood Friend | Best Friend | Teammate ]

Keiichi and Heisuke have been friends since they could remember. They knew each other pretty well during their youth and developed a strong bond after becoming shinobi. Much like with Gakuto, Keiichi spent a lot of time getting to know his teammates better. Always finding ways to cheer each other on, no matter the circumstance. They share a passion for cooking -- specifically remaking dishes from their homeland. Whenever possible, they usually make something for their people to enjoy -- to remember and reminiscence about their homeland. They also share a joke about calling Tōrōgakure villagers "rice balls" for their fascination with it.
