• - His name, Ray, means "beam of light," partly chosen due to the fact he's the only sibling who inherits any significant aura abilites. His name is also somewhat related to Horace. Horace's name made me think of the Egyptian God, Horus, which initially made me want to name Ray, Ra. As that name didn't fit something I felt Ash would name his child, Ray was the next most similar name that came to mind.
• - As his parents aren't officially married, his surname differs from his siblings as Ash was the one pregnant with him, thus he took Ash's surname.
• - He has latent aura abilites that he doesn't discover until he's out traveling. Unlike Ash, he puts in specific effort to hone this abilites and ends up training under Riley for a while.
