Syoro

Syoro was formerly a human of Lalaika before the time of the poison that began to bring about the Ruin. He had always been known to love flowers and the tender love in which he bestowed upon them is probably what allowed him to reap the benefits in which he holds now. Unlike most of the humans who are currently forced to live above in the clouds or risk death without a gas mask (a rare commodity), Syoro's body was able to adapt to the poison through the plants themselves. As the plants had now become sentient in Lalaika, their carnivorous nature had usually caused much death to spread and most humans were consumed in an act of survival. However, when it came to Syoro he was considered as their caretaker and received a gift instead of death. One day he was watering some of the plants as they had just started to become knowing of the world around them and while initially it appeared that he would be eaten as the plants lashed out, instead a seed was implanted in his right eye and from it grew a pink rose. At first it was a painful ordeal and seemed it might cause him to lose his sanity from the many voices of the plants that filled his head. But instead he was capable of speaking with the hiveminded plants and he was able to co-exist among them as he continued to tend to their needs and they in turn allowed him the ability to breath despite the poison spreading throughout the world. But that wasn't the last of his newfound abilities. He was now considerably physically stronger than before and gained magical powers to include a disarming presence and a singing voice that immediately calmed any beast who now roamed the ground levels of Lalaika, including the corrupted melwyrms known as Plague Wyrms by most.

He has met Ninth Sigma and the maiden cylph, Elka, knowing both sides' views. He does not side with either of them, though he chose to befriend Ninth Sigma because of how alone the poor boy seemed and Syoro is able to sympathize with him easily. He also appreciates the fact that Ninth takes care of the nature around him and particularly tends to his very own tree. He does not hold hostile relations with Elka though and so he tends to keep his distance from Ninth to avoid upsetting either side, tending to lean towards Ninth's side since he does not have any ulterior motives nor seem to have negative feelings towards Elka while she remains much more guarded around him with a hatred for what he did to the world despite his best intentions. The fact that Syoro is able to reign in Ninth's hysteria and create a calmed mind is quite beneficial to their relationship as well, which has resulted in a frequent visit from the wood sprite in an effort to help Ninth and also provide him a friendship where he is lacking...
