Backstory:

an exceptionally pretty pearl who wasnt used for service as most pearls were but in fact quite pampered and put on a kinda of pedestal. she was kept in a cage to be shown off but never had a problem with it becuz she was always ooh’d and ahh’d at and always treated like a prize, so although she was a bit lonely and wished she could be closer to her owner or maybe even talk with the pearls down below, she didnt mind. really… she didnt… even though her owner didnt actually care for her but cared that she was kept pretty to show off, but as long as she didnt think abt it she didnt have to worry. she told herself she was loved and adored, that she wasnt like other pearls.

but she was just like other pearls. and it took her being quickly replaced after being 'lost' to realize this

relationship with burgundy pearl: burgubdy pitied and was partially disgusted with prism, she was blindly devoted to her owner and to the diamonds and willfully ignored her siuation becuz of the fact that she was 'adored' after prism's 'dismissal' burgundy was as supportive as she could be in trying to help prism realize she was her own gem and dint need to live to please others. they endded up becoming quite close and prism hung around her for some time before joining iridescent and her friends
