Brooke, and his twin sister, Roselia, were born into a prestigious business family, with a high inheritence on their head. Since their earliest days, the two were burdened with expectations - do this, read that, study this, eat that, go to bed, wake up, now write this - Brooke hated it. He didn't want to be controlled or told what to do - he wanted to find his own path. His family spent most of his childhood trying to force him to become the perfect daughter they wanted, and most of his teenage years giving up and letting him do his own thing, on the grounds he did not embarass the family name.

That lofty goal was easily accomplished, and post-grad, he had enough money to not go into anything. While his sister worked dilligently, he moved out into a small apartment by the sea, spending all his free time by the waves. The ocean was peaceful - it didn't expect anything of him, and besides, he really loved surfing.

Recently, a small business owner by the sea has taken offense to his mere existence - something he's used to, truth be told, but not exactly for the reasons she has - she doesn't care that he's trans, she cares that he does nothing but sit on the beach every day. It's kinda funny, how worked up she gets about it. Brooke has no intentions of moving on - but Lyra does interest him.
