Lavern Serpico is someone who doesn't understand other's feelings. He is a bit slow minded and very gullible, but has a surprisingly optimistic outlook on life. He is often made fun of or beat up, but somehow he's okay with it. His understanding of the world is distorted beyond repair from a cruel childhood. Lavern dislikes being shown kindness because he can't understand it very well. Although subconsciously he knows that many people have ulterior motives, he tries to push the truth away. Don't help him.
