Description
Lepus saxatilis acutus is a critter known for its aggressiveness and territorial behaviour. This specific specimen received the name Rabbit, but is in fact not a member of the rabbit family, as the scientific name suggests.
Behavior & Biology
Lepus saxatilis acutus shares many physiological traits with the common hare, though, the sloth-like forearms suggest a possibility to be facultative bipedal. The claws and long fangs suggest a carnivorous lifestyle and it is known to hunt in groups. Its lifespan and reproductive habits are unknown. Common fur coloration ranges from caramel to dark brown or black with only one known instance of an albinotic entity.
Habitat
Lepus saxatilis acutus can be found in the following areas:
- Semi-dry swamps in Europe
- Grassland/wetland
