linus is a gijinka of the krak-on splat roller. they're like any other tired ap student, but they can also be a roller. they work in a tiny arts and crafts store in a less busy part of the city
- when they're enraged, their pupils dilate enormously, their ink production goes way up, the special-charged aura appears around them, and their hair mimics the patterns of the kraken special from splatoon 1. these attributes appear on sort of a sliding scale depending on how upset they are, and at their worst can stir up some serious medical issues. they're very practiced in avoiding this state- it's an extremely rare sight to see.
- their hair's held back by a white or green ribbon, and they sometimes wear wristbands made of the same material. it has the same pattern as the ribbons on a baller special
- they wear tortoiseshell glasses with a half-moon shape. and they won't wear contacts
- they have an undercut and i always forget to draw it
- for fun, i think their hair can be curly/bunchy at the ends like july's; it's not necessary tho
- the pockets on their flannel are embroidered to look like beakons
- they're always wearing white stud earrings
- the graphic on their shirt can vary, but it's usually squid squad or krak-on themed
they're in a perpetual state of fatigue, and probably also burnout, but despite that they're very chill and extremely slow to anger. they're not big on physical contact, and words aren't really their strong suit, but they like just existing in the same space as people they're close to. they also pick up on a lot of rumors and personal information just by taking in their surroundings and not talking a lot, but they're not about to broadcast that to anyone in particular.
in kind of all walks of life, they just don't care that much. sure, fine, whatever. they don't make much of an effort to reach beyond their immediate comfort zone either, so they end up just not doing anything besides scrolling through squitter and doodling in their free time.

in an incident when they were very young, involving a stuffed toy and a regular argument between kids that got out of hand, lin's family learned about their attributes of kraken syndrome. said incident landed them in the er for a short amount of time and took a slice out of their twin sister's ear, and led to some deep-seated issues with emotional regulation later in life.
lin barely submitted their ap portfolio on time and got a 4. they're currently an undecided fine arts major, hoping to find a particular area they'll excel at or find a passion in
lin decides to pursue hrt a little later in life, and feels comfortable using any traditional pronouns a ways into their transition. long-term, they end up working as a tattoo artist and painting/sculpting commissions on the side
the twins..! they're super close, and even though they've had their moments of conflict / issues to work through, they often seek each other out for company or peace. also they have matching earrings
they're friends from ap art, and they ended up going to the same college. they find a lot of support in, and know a whole lot about, the other
after figuring out they had a lot in common, they became fast friends. very comfortable in each other's company and always willing to hear each other out
they'll visit each other at work to make shifts go by faster, and lin's super interested in the kind of art coryn makes as a hobby. "hey, wanna try and find something ancient in the clearance aisle that i could ring up for under a dollar?"
they're skating friends! lin sees dew at the skatepark a lot, and also when his and coryn's shifts overlap, and also when they tag along with seb to the arcade
- their favorite squishmallow is the gray owl one
- they prefer to not make eye contact with people + they don’t smile very often just bc it’s not a natural thing for them a lot of the time. so people might assume they’re cold at first
- they roomed on campus their first year of college and decided they wanted to commute instead before the spring quarter even started
- they played in their elementary school string orchestra but didn't keep up with it for more than a couple years
- they're 5'7-8" but they slouch so they look 5'6
